Had not visited REI in so many years as its located a distance from Ashburn but it is a must visit store for any travel. Heading to Europe and different climates my wife and I visited and bought several items and joined REI. They are very helpful and returning/exchanging is made so easy. High recommendation.

Steven was super helpful. He got me and my boyfriend sized for hiking boots and was very knowledgeable in recommending on sale hiking socks for us ? 10/10 would recommend

Great location and staff is very helpful when it comes to advising on products, but cashiers are extremely pushy with selling memberships to the point where I often just shop online or purchase the same products elsewhere to avoid encounters where I'm being heavily pressured after already having declined. I just don't want personally a membership. Totally fine to ask, but 'no' should be respected!

I frequent this store and have a positive experience every time. All the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and in particular, Sean has helped me make an informed decision for multiple products. I will also say the REI re-Supply is a step above the rest and supposedly they have an associate who ensure the quality of returns are the best before putting them out onto the floor. They also have let me set up 2 Re-Supply tents prior to purchasing which was really helpful to my decision. Thank you REI Fairfax!

I went there for REI anniversary sale and after giving my member # the employee didn't enter it, said they did, but didn't. Charged me full price and said it was discounted. Looked at the receipt once home and yup, full price. Looked up same items online and yes it should have been included in the sale. Not driving an hour back... Other than that this place is pretty awesome and the other people there are very helpful.

Can’t return under the 100% satisfaction guarantee. Tread has less than 50 miles and the inside of the shoe has ripped. I was told this is normal wear and tear. You be judge, these shoes were $145 and were only used for a few runs and walks. These were designed for trail running.

I called today and Pat (hopefully I got his name correctly) was very helpful and able to get all of my questions answered. Technician gentleman was super helpful as well. My apologies that I didn't get to ask his name. I went and order the cargo box online and they will test fit it for me once it comes in. I guess I'm still old school and like to deal with people face to face and if the box doesn't fit or damaged there's no ask and get the refund.
I will give another feedback after I physically been there and fit the box on my car but so far my experience is excellent.

Went to the store to buy a bike trailer for my kid and got one that was defective. I took the trailer to the store and even the guy working in the bike shop who was bigger and stronger than I am couldn't get it to work the way it was supposed to and instead had to use a workaround by using a different grip that is not explained in either the manual or their official videos. That to me sounds like it's defective but both phone customer service (Justin) AND the bike shop guy (John) was saying it's just the way it is and that it's tight from the factory for a reason. I understand that, but I don't believe they would make it THAT tight.It was my hands PLUS my wife's hands and we weren't even close.Fast forward a day, I place the order for the same trailer and wow it was already ready for pickup within an hour! That was very suspicious I thought.Lo and behold it's the same trailer stuffed into the box with bulging sides and damaged/ripped corners.Customer service says that they can't do anything to help me out with shipping either even though the store made the mistake of putting the defective product back on the floor.Once I use my gift card, I don't think I'll be returning ever again.
