Terrible customer service in the Fair Oaks Mall store- order online instead- they asked me to order in the store and not online to support the store and it ended up costing me more money for the same furniture

Pottery Barn owner must see this review! Seemingly racist store workers. There was a green-haired woman and a woman in her late 50s working the evening of July 3, 2024. When I walked in they gave me a dirty look like I shouldn't be there and didn't greet me. But they greeted the other customers. My white husband walked in a few minutes later and they smiled and said hi to him. I went back in afterwards and they gave me the same look. White people are welcome here. Don't even bother if you are color woman.

This is not a review of this store in particular. PB standards have gone way down. Was sent the wrong item from an online purchase and had to chase them down to get them to ship me the right item. Received second item incorrectly as well. Over a month later, still waiting for a refund. Come on PB, you can do better than this.

Called to have them fix a screw up and was told to basically they don’t care and to screw off. They are just a reseller of items, I suggest just ordering from the manufacturer

An absolute must; stop and see what options they have. Great furniture at a great price. Plus they have so many different options of accents for your home. Staff was extremely helpful.

I recently purchased three pieces of living room furniture. The email order confirmation stated the pieces would all ship together once all are available. Then one day I'm notified that the end table is being shipped and will arrive soon. I'm a senior that is unable to lift heavy items and this package weighed 64lbs. I hurt myself trying to get it into my home. After I struggled to get the box open which was very difficult to do considering how tightly wrapped the pieces were in the box. There was no way for me to preserve the box. It was also damaged in transit. As I removed each piece of wood which was very heavy I noticed one piece was broken. I called Pottery Barn to alert them of this issue and asked to cancel the remaining pieces. They canceled the items but told me that I MUST purchase another box in order for UPS to pick up the broken table. Pottery Barn needs to realize that some of their customers aren't really able bodied and simply cannot do some of the tasks they ask for. The poor quality of their furniture isn't my fault yet I'm being forced to risk more injury to myself in order to please them. This ends my relationship with Pottery Barn.

Have quite a few pieces of furniture to buy for my new home. Set an appointment for in home design consultation weeks in advance. Day before I received an email reconfirming appointment. Morning of I received a text reminder of appointment. So I take the time off of work to meet the consultant. After waiting 20 minutes past the scheduled time, I call the store to request an ETA. It was only then they tell me that the consultant wasn't coming. I understand things happen, but not bothering to tell your customer is unexcusable. They had the audacity to offer a Zoom call later, but I had waited weeks for an in-person meeting for a reason. I'll be buying my furniture somewhere that respects my time more than Pottery Barn.

Always excellent customer service. PB has stopped carrying Ocean scent diffuser oil and they provided me a list of stores who still had some, so I was able to score a few last bottles.

Let me make this very simple. Do NOT buy from Pottery Barn unless you can wait 6-12 months with minimum updates and won't worry about receiving things broken or missing. You still want it ? Good luck!And yes, I didn't listen others, I made couple of large purchases and I will be sitting on my carpet this Christmas !!!!

I bought a coffee table at Pottery Barn. When it was delivered the glass was broken, but the rest of the coffee table was not. I called customer service and waited for 1 hour for someone to pick up the phone only to be told that they would replace the glass in 10-15 days. Next day I get an email telling me it would be another 2 months! I called customer service (waited for 45 minutes to talk to someone) again and ask why the discrepancy. They tell me I have to get to the back of the line and they have to reorder the table again and I would wait another 3 months for delivery. I ask if there is a discount for the inconvenience only to for the agent to hang up on my. I call back again (another 45 min. wait!) and ask to speak directly to a manager. The agent refused and hung up on me again! So I drive myself to a store only to be told that now the delivery date has been moved to 6 months, rather than 3 months. I tell them I just want to cancel the order, but they said they had to wait until next week when the corporate representative was in the store. I wait another week and call the store to speak with the corporate rep. At this point, I spent hours trying to resolve the issue I tell the corporate rep that I don't want the table and want a full refund and for someone to pick the table up from my house. Finally it is resolved. In the meantime, I find the exact table on Burke Decor for $650 less, no shipping fees!!!!!! I used to go to Pottery Barn and pay more for good customer service - no longer. Save yourselves time and money and find the exact same furniture elsewhere! That was the worst shopping experience of my life!!!
