This review is not for my cat, but in regards to my best friend's cat who's case I have been following closely. I was there at this location, with her during her phone calls from this clinic, updates, ive seen the radiology reports, all of it. No one asked me to write this review, I'm here on my own accord.
1. Dosaging:
They gave her cat a dosage of medication that, if she had blindly followed, could have ended her cat's life.
She followed the dosage for 2 days, as she trusted the people here. And her cat would loose her balance, fall, and couldn't walk. When she did research, she found that the dosage they prescribed was moreso suited for a large animal, not a small cat...
Due to the clinic's negligence, her cat started vomiting pools of blood.
Not yet knowing why, and still trusting the people at this clinic, she took her back in for more testing and care.
2. Misleading statements:
They told her that if left overnight with them, she would be monitored. This was not true. Her gut feeling told her to call back and calralfy and her cat, vomiting blood, non stop crying out in pain would have been left in the dark, alone, by herself scared. Now imagine that was your pet...
3. False Radiology Report:
Their radiologist should be fired.
Their radiologists claimed that the issue seemed to be the cats uterus...when the cat does NOT even have a uterus. Let that sink in.
4. The 2nd Opinion:
She had taken her cat to a reputable 24 vet ER. The doctors there, looked over all of the information, and also did their own testing. The majority of the cats organs are inflamed. From her cat's pancreas, her stomach, her intestines, all severely inflamed (which wasn't mention at all by this clinic).
After reviewing all of the evidence, the doctors at this hospital concluded that they can not see the causation of her cat's fatal circumstance to be attributed to anything other than the potentially lethal dosage of medication prescribed by this clinic.
It is not my dear friend who came to this conclusion, but rather expert doctor veterinarians in the emergency medicine field
If you truly value the life of your pet, you will not take them here.

Potomac Valley has handled well visits for our cat the five years we have had her, keeping her up to date on her vaccinations and care. This week we had an acute situation, she started vomiting worsening to vomiting large amounts of blood. She was seen by a second doctor not listed as staff on their website. We felt confident in the care because they list themselves as emergency on call care online. They offered to keep her overnight for observation and on further questioning we learned that nobody is on site at night leaving her alone. Observation? The receptionists are kind and helpful, the physical plant is outdated and dirty. The exam rooms are extremely dirty with stained tiles on the ceiling, and a bad smell. The sink was full of dirt and gunk. We were not referred to an emergency hospital with a bleeding cat and were told "not to stress". Tests were done and we were told to return early the next morning to review results after declining leaving her overnight. When we arrived the next day after a night of continued vomiting and bleeding and the results were not back. The doctor could not get hold of the lab or radiologist. After realizing that we were not getting the caliber of care we expected we decided to go to an emergency hospital for care.
I don't recommend this practice for the acute care of pets. They are not equipped for emergencies and don't know when to recommend acute care. Lab and radiology services extremely lacking. The radiologist did not know that she was spayed and made observations about her condition that were inaccurate.
We are changing Vets, very concerned about judgements regarding our cat's health and wellbeing.

My pups are always well taken care of when I come in for their annual check ups and vaccinations. The staff is friendly and attentive.

We only had excellent experience here, we can always get appointments, team is courteous and professional, everyone really cares. My dog was anxious with previous vets, but here the doc gets on the same level with him and all is good. Great office, excellent team of animal lovers.

Very efficient and kind staff. We didn’t it have to wait long, so my cat did not get very anxious. They took good care of him and were upfront about costs and options.

Dr. Cheema has always done a great job with my cat over the years, but I do wish he was more patient when answering my questions during my visits. Again, I am always confident that my pet is in good hands with all the staff here when I have to come in for various routine health visits. English is not my first language and I would appreciate it if Dr. Cheema didn’t seem like in such a rush that I am seriously inconveniencing him when just asking 2-3 pet health related relevant questions. I understand veterinarians operate on very busy tight schedules but don’t give me a bad look for asking for clarification on home treatments-it’s only 2 minutes of your time. Leaving 3 stars because the staff at the front desk and vet assistants here are awesome. Still undecided if I will continue to go here.

Dr. Cheema knew exactly how to help my cats. I spent 2k at another vet, but Dr. Cheema did a quick fix, my cat felt better than ever.
