I love the feedback they give regarding your dog if they notice anything is off with them while getting their bath, nails, ear or teeth cleaning. We will definitely be returning back!!

Pet Care
Jermantown Animal Hospital
4035 Jermantown Rd, FairfaxI foster dogs for a local rescue that has a relationship with JAH. Sadly one of my elder pups had bladder cancer and declined very rapidly. Dr. Johnson squeezed us into her busy schedule for euthanasia the same day I contacted the office. Throughout the process, she was so caring and we never felt rushed. Our sweet pooch passed very peacefully. A few days later, I received the kindest sympathy card with notes from the staff and Dr. Johnson. When I get my next dog, I'm seriously considering taking it to Dr. Johnson even though there are many other vets closer to me in Arlington. The staff are equally kind and personable and remember patients even after only a single visit. This practice is a treasure.

Stahl Exotic Animal Veterinary Services
4105 Rust Rd, Fairfaxtook my guinea pig there back in february when her normal vet couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her and she was losing weight fast. going to an exotics vet is so important if you have a guinea pig or other small animal. my other vet was good but she just wasn’t knowledgeable enough on guinea pigs. i learned my lesson and now will only trust an exotics vet with my babies. thank you stahl for finding and treating my piggie’s ovarian cyst and giving me more time with her when i was scared i would lose her. they really are the best!

This is a wonderful practice and we highly recommend it!

Alpha Animal Hospital
11725 Lee Hwy Suite A15-C, FairfaxWonderful vet. I am extremely difficult to please, especially when it comes to the care my loved ones receive. Trust me when I say this office exceeds my lofty expectations every time. Both doctors we have seen are incredibly thorough, they do not rush and genuinely seem to care about our cat. They take the time to explain things in detail, they are gentle and patient. They do not push unnecessary treatments or try to run your bill up for their benefit. You can tell that they are passionate about animal care and they have a wealth of knowledge to back it up. If you’re looking for an honest, trustworthy, knowledgeable place to take your pet to, this is it.

Montrose Animal Health Center
3883 Pickett Road, FairfaxWe have been going to see Dr. Texeira for about seven years now for our pack of pups. One of the best vets in the area by far. One of our rescue dogs is extremely reactive due to the abuse she suffered in her early life.
Dr. T has been the only vet who has taken the time to help us manage these behaviors and coach us through how to keep her calm during her visits. I have nothing but good things to say about this practice. If you trust your pets to Montrose, they will be in great hands.

Mainstay Veterinary Practice
8500 Route, 29 Lee Hwy, FairfaxI have been a client at Mainstay Veterinary Practice since Dr. Hitt opened the doors about 14 years ago. We are a multi dog household and when you have a lot of dogs that usually means a a significant number of vet visits to keep them healthy and provide them with the best life possible particularly as they age. From minor issues to major health crises, I have always received great advice and multiple treatment choices that are carefully explained to me. I never feel forced into a particular option. It's as though we're a team and are going to come up with the best plan together. And that method has saved many of my dogs' life and made those golden years far better for many of them. The entire staff at Mainstay is focused on excellent care, kindness and compassion. There really aren't any downsides to this clinic. They outshine many an advanced care/emergency treatment practice. It's always about what is best for my dogs and me.

Pet Sitting & Training
Kim's Urban Hounds- Dog Walking & Pet Sitting
12000 Golf Ridge Ct, FairfaxKim’s Urban Hounds did a great job taking care of our senior “pup” while we were away. Our situation was a little unique in that they were able to partner with some of my family who stayed with him to make sure that he had the medical care he needed. They were very flexible and accommodating to what worked best for us.
Our elderly dog Carson has mobility issues and struggles to stand on his own, but I received word that he stood up by himself once when Brandon arrived for his daily walk! That was great evidence that Carson really felt comfortable with Brandon, and was happy to see him.
Kim’s Urban Hounds has an app that was very convenient. It provided us with one place for our conversations, scheduling calendar, payment info, etc. They also sent daily reports with how his visits went so I knew how his days were going. This gave me peace of mind. If I had a question or concern, Kim or another member of her staff would return my message promptly. I would not hesitate to employ their services again, and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing dog sitting or dog walking services.
Thank you again for everything, Kim!

The one on one attention they give to each fur baby rather than group play was really what made boarding him here so stress free. We continue to use Montrose even after moving closer to DC since the experience has been nothing but amazing!

Blue Paw Dog Walks, LLC
2920 District Ave, FairfaxI am so incredibly lucky to have found Brittany. I have a 2 year old golden retriever who absolutely adores her and her two pups Blue and Watson. Brittany works so hard to make sure Bailey is taken care of. She is always on top of our regularly scheduled walks and has watched Bailey overnight (Bailey comes home happy as can be). I love getting Bailey's daily walk reports where Brittany writes how the walk went, what type of "business" was done, and includes the most adorable pictures. I highly recommend Brittany, she is the best there is!

De Clieu Coffee & Sandwiches
10389 Main St B, FairfaxBest spot in downtown Fairfax for a coffee/tea and a bite. I came in to get some work done and decided to try a new menu item, the eggplant sandwich. I'm not a vegetarian but sometimes I just don't feel like eating meat so I was going to get the caprese at first but saw the new eggplant sandwich at the bottom of the menu. After I ordered they let me know that they were out of the eggplant and it would be about a 30 minute wait to make more or I could change my order. I decided to wait since I wasn't too hungry and I'm so glad I did, the sandwich was so good. When I saw it come out I knew it was going to be good just from the looks of it. 10/10 would recommend.

8296 Glass Alley, Fairfax4/5/24 We stayed a few days to visit the US Army and Udvar-Hazy museums. New, modern, quiet, and well maintained. We were greeted by Saphire, who was so pleasant, friendly, and helpful. We had Classic King Room. Spacious, clean, and quiet. Our view overlooks the entrance. We were surprised we didn't hear traffic noise. The free breakfast was traditional continental. No hot food at all. Not what we expected. You can pay for a hot breakfast. Centrally located in the Mosaic district. It's a high-end shopping center. Walking distance to several restaurants and stores. There's even a movie theater in walking distance.

2985 District Ave Suite 185, FairfaxIt was a hidden germ if you didn't know much about Greek food. First impression was good mixed match theme between blue and white colors for their decor. Then our server was damn pretty (she might caught me looking at her..lol). They got a great selection for appetizers, especially the grilled octopus, Kotopoulo Souvlaki, Saganaki, ...etc and few more. I saw some people order the lamps and Thalassina. The smell were so good. I wanted to try the Loukoumádes, but too full. Also, the website showing incorrect price on their menu because almost everything went up to $2 to $3 more. I guess we need to return to try other disk and see the pretty server : )
