We have been going to see Dr. Texeira for about seven years now for our pack of pups. One of the best vets in the area by far. One of our rescue dogs is extremely reactive due to the abuse she suffered in her early life.
Dr. T has been the only vet who has taken the time to help us manage these behaviors and coach us through how to keep her calm during her visits. I have nothing but good things to say about this practice. If you trust your pets to Montrose, they will be in great hands.

Dr.T is the most personable and knowledgeable vet we have ever used. She loves her patients and spends time with us going over any and every question when we come in. Even with the extra time spent with her clients, the price is extremely reasonable and affordable and we never get overcharged or gouged for anything like other vets in the area. Other family members use Montrose and have had the same experience, cannot recommend Dr. T and Montrose enough.

Brand new dog owner. First time to the vet with my new 9month old pup. The most lackluster initial checkup experience in which my pet was (understandably) uncomfortable. As such, I literally had to pick up my dog and contain her on my own for the scale & examination table for what seemed to be the most useless, 2 second "checkup". I received no information and/or advice as a new pet owner and had to put in 90% of the effort just for the honor of paying $85 for the experience....
Very disappointed.
I don't even blame them for being unable to calm my dog but I've met Petco employees that have done a better job at that..... Additionally, I would have expected more advice, tips, suggestions on pet care based on the fact that I made it clear that I'm a brand new dog owner.... I've received better care advice from people at dog parks!
All in all, it felt like a massive waste of money and time in which they provided the MINIMAL amount in terms of service, I received nothing in terms of knowledge/advice, and I had to put in 90% of the effort....... In short, I should've got paid for that experience, not the other way around.....

My family take 2 of there dogs twice a week. The dogs love going each week and sometimes we do overnight boarding and they do an excellent job of taking care of them. I take them over twice a week and they come out to the car and get the dogs. Anytime we have had an interaction with the employees it has been very positiveThank you staff at Montrose for taking such great care of our fur babies

Let me start by saying that our frequent visits to this vet are not the vet's fault. My dog has just had a rough go this last year and our move to Virginia has not been kind to her.Dr. Stacy is fantastic. When she calls to talk to us about our dog, I feel like I'm talking to someone who deeply cares about my dog. She is honest and provides educational information. I truly feel like she listens to me and that she values my opinion on my dog. I also feel like she is reasonable in how we've been charged and has tried to save us money where she can.The staff is also fantastic. They have been great with our very anxious dog and have always been sweet to her. They are friendly and fast. If they have a bad day on the job, you wouldn't ever know it.We have been incredibly happy with this vet. I trust Dr. Stacy's opinion and she has referred out when it has been beyond her expertise. We are very happy with Montrose Animal Health Center and highly recommend them to others. Two thumbs way up!
