Mia's Beauty Salon is a gem- tremendous quality and service at a great price. She is attentive, detail oriented and knowledgeable. She is flexible and accommodating, typically able to fit me in if I need to drop in. She will also make appropriate recommendations for products and services, without pressure to purchase them. For example, I have allergies/skin sensitivity issues and I feel very comfortable with her advice. I have not had any reactions to the products or services she recommends (I always do my research to validate, she has always been spot on).

Mia fixed a really bad highlight job that was done in Vienna. I loved how thoughtful she was and the care she took to get my hair exactly right- especially before a Caribbean cruise! I will see her again!!

Had a good experience here getting a perm done. The price was fair and she was very focused throughout the long and tedious process. Checked in often to make sure I was doing ok and was communicative about the whole process. Unfortunately the curls didn't stick as much as I'd like but I guess my hair is just too happy being straight, don't think it's any fault of the salon's.

TLDR- 3 stars due to a clean salon, being a nice hairdresser, and for being willing to fix the haircut she gave me to give me something closer to what I wanted. Be 100% firm in telling her what you want or else she'll give you something more to her liking. I'm very dissatisfied with my haircut. I asked for a long even bob, with layers and bangs. I received a asymmetrical bob with no layers and no bangs. I left the salon in a bit of shock and unable to express that it was not what I wanted at all, not even close. I returned home and decided that if I was going to pay $37 for a haircut then I'm going to get something close to what I wanted. I called back and asked Mia if it was possible to even it out and just make it into a bob, she said she would and that's the haircut I walked out with the second time I went that day. I didn't get layers or bangs because I was too scared to ask her for them because I felt that she would have done them to her liking and not to mine. The response I got when I returned back to fix my hair was that a asymmetrical bob is "popular" and sure, it's popular among people who like them but I hate them. I stated in the beginning that I wanted an even length. I spent 37$ on a haircut that really wasn't worth it. I have never in my life felt so upset about my hair. This is the first time I've chopped my hair where I actually cried over the regret. I now have to visit my normal hairdresser, who works very limited hours which is why I came to Mia's, to fix the un-styled bob she gave me that is nothing close to the pictures I showed her. I will not be coming back because if I go to a hairdresser I want to get what I ask for not what the hairdresser thinks is best for me.

Mia was phenomenal and I couldn't recommend her business more. She and her coworker were so professional, inviting, and absolutely on point. She took her time to ensure she gave me a great haircut. Not only that, she was very knowledgeable and gave me great hair advice! I will definitely be going back and will even go and get a pedicure!

Simply 5 star treatment. Want to be papered? Go to Mias. What someone to care that tthey actually did their best and not just filled a time quita? Go to Mia's. Mia thinks enough to put a stool under my feet for my shampooing! I am 42 and male and never cared for like that! Mia if you read this thank you! You!! Why are you still reading? I went to Mia's for a trim and a little bit of styling. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience at Mia's. The salon was extremely clean and Mia and her assistant both wore masks. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the final blow drying process took a long time, and my head hurt with the amount of curling brushes used. Besides that, I love how my hair turned out.

I always have the very best of experiences whenever I visit Mia's salon and today's visit was no different. Mia has been looking after my hair for almost a decade now & I always know I'm in great hands with her. I tend to get a color refresh & hair cut whenever I visit & no matter what I'm in the mood to do she always helps me come up with something perfect. Her prices continue to be reasonable & I always enjoy the deep moisturizing treatment she provides each visit. It truly does breathe new life into it! In the era of COVID-19, Mia has gone above and beyond to ensure safety & social distancing protocols are adhered to & still provided the excellent experience I have come to expect every time I enter her salon. Her salon (as always) was very clean, we wore masks, my temperature was taken when I arrived to ensure I was fever-free & she had bottles of hand sanitizer at the ready as needed. She wore gloves while working on my hair as well and also posted signs at the door & inside the salon asking only those feeling well to enter. I would highly recommend Mia to anyone and everyone looking for an amazing stylist!

Terrible place. Made appointment and was told to go wait by owner (MIA) while she ate out and blocked stairs going into shop. I waited but things progressed downhill from there. She said I didn't have appointment w/o looking it up in book. Felt ageism all over the place-but mainly w owner. She insisted I never made appointment and she was too busy with another client. She encouraged me to leave. Had mask on and was polite up until this point. Told her I would need to give her a bad review online and she didn't seem to care at all. After leaving, I sat stunned in my car for one minute and texted my husband that I was on way home. I looked up just then to see Mia come outside once more with a new box of donuts and sat down to eat!!! Mad as you can image - I got out of my car and said "I thought you were too busy for my hair appointment and had another client?" She smiled and said "I do have a client" but if you want a cut? And looking weird I said "oh no thank you!" What a nightmare.

I have been going to Mia's Beauty Salon for over 7 years. The Salon is always immaculate and they are always friendly and flexible. Mia is a master at cutting hair and I am always very happy with my experience. Sandy is equally as talented at providing a relaxing manicure and pedicure. I highly recommend them both!

Best haircut in Fairfax for my curly hair!! I absolutely love it! Went to three other places, paid over $60 each time and hated the haircut. Mia listened to how I wanted my hair and checked with me throughout the haircut to make sure it was good. And for under $40 you just can’t find a better deal!

Mia was amazing! She was able to fit me in the next day when I called to make an appointment. She listened and really asked questions about each part of the cut I wanted. I really appreciated that she gave me exactly what I wanted and made sure I was totally happy with the result. Also a really good price-- only 32 for a haircut. Will absolutely be going back.

I decided to try Mia's when my usual hair stylist raised her rates. My hair needed a trim and I wasn't up to paying $75 plus tip at my normal salon. My mother, who is a extremely high-maintenance when it comes to her coiffure, recommended Mia. I'm very glad I went! I've been back now for a second time where I got a cut and partial highlights. Mia is an extremely attentive and capable stylist. She listens to her customers and gives them exactly what they want. She and her assistant spent two hours on my hair and it only cost me $109! I was feeling very tired (low blood sugar) when I went. Unprompted, Mia gave me green tea and a tasty granola bar to help me perk up so I didn't fall asleep in the chair. Now my mom, my sister and I all go to Mia and I couldn't be happier with the service, the price and the result!
