Stopped by this location for a fairly size project and was blown away by the staff, especially Kirsten. She went above and beyond, she was the kindest person, she didn’t know the answers to my questions at first but dropped what she was doing to assist me and find answers. She was Fantastic. Not a local but would certainly stop by again !

Love Merrifield Garden Center! Today they had a free childrens petting zoo! Aside from that they have great customer service and an incredible assortment of trees, bushes flowers and more. People there arw always courteous. A wonderful establishment that will continue to get our business for our outdoor needs! Pet friendly too!

Merrifield Garden Center in Fairfax is one of the best in DMV. The collection of landscaping products is truly amazing. The staff members are friendly and knowledgeable. I learned how to reseed my lawn properly with good advice and guidance. I strongly recommend purchasing plants, flowers, garden decorations, and lawn maintenance products at the center. It’s a great experience to visit the center as a tourist - the center is a beautiful garden in its own right.

I’m super disappointed in this nursery, we live to visit this place and shop for houseplants but after recently purchasing our rather large money tree only to find out once we got home that it had mealybugs all over, that there may be an issue. We tried our hardest to find one without any and it seemed a vast majority of the greenhouse has these things. Obviously the plant we purchased is kind of our own issue to resolve right now so we get rid of these bugs but please be weary and inspect basically every single leaf before buying here. Would hate for someone else to go home with mealybugs.

I love going here. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable...never try to rush you out of the way. A very pleasant experience from arrival, to shopping, getting great advice and the friendliest cashiers at checkout!

I recently visited the Merrifield Garden Center in Fairfax and was thoroughly impressed by the remarkable renovation of their Home Decor section. The new layout is both stylish and functional, showcasing a wide array of high-quality decor items in an organized and visually appealing manner. The attention to detail is evident, from the carefully curated selections to the thoughtful arrangement of displays. The updated section not only enhances the shopping experience but also inspires creativity for home decoration. Kudos to the team for their phenomenal job – it’s clear that a lot of effort went into making this space both beautiful and inviting. I absolutely love it and will be back to check out the seasonal product changes.

My favorite garden center in DMV!!! You can find all kinds of high quality plants indoor and outdoor that you may not find in other garden centers.

I really really like the experience here because the staff is helpful and there is complimentary coffee and popcorn so it makes it easy to spend over an hour here. It's definitely on the pricey side but the variety and quality of the plants is better compared to what you see at some of the big box stores. I am entering my old man era so I'm starting to appreciate plants so much more. I spent most of my time on the indoor plant area. If I went outside I would have spent another hour or two there.

I contacted the Plant Clinic through Merrifield Garden Center. I had a picture to send in with a plant that I was concerned about. They emailed me back right away with ideas, education, and solutions. I am so grateful for them! We also visit Merrifield several times a year. Larry Shapira is a great plant and seed expert who gives phenomenal classes that my dad enjoys each year! Thank you again!

Always my favorite place to walk around and admire the plants and flowers. They always have a great indoor setup with lots of really cool decorations for your house that are plant themed. They've also expanded their kids section to include gardening tools and bug catchers for kids! Very fun! And we never leave there there without a bag of popcorn ?

The garden center is expansive and offers an impressive collection of flowers, flower pots, and garden decorations. The items for sale are beautiful and plentiful. However, the prices are outrageously high—about three to four times more expensive than similar items at Home Depot or Lowe’s. While I might return to buy some exotic flowers, I definitely won’t come here for regular flowers or pots. For garden decorations, I will shop at their nearby competitors.
