Very frustrated!!! It’s nearly impossible to get a hold of someone on the phone regarding a past rental that was dropped off at the repair shop ( Caliber Collision on Pickett Road) on August 21st and I am still getting charged daily for my car sitting there due to not one picking up the vehicle when it isn’t my fault. I have been out of the country and trying to figure this all out over the phone and no one has been the slightest helpful. I’ve sent an email and have been calling since Tuesday August 27th and now it’s September 3rd and I am fed up with being charged for over $550 for a car that has not been picked up due to your staff’s laziness and lack of communication!!! Fix this!!!

I would put 0 stars if I could. I made a rental reservation for this location. It took the agent almost half an hour to process us. I had made a reservation without insurance (I had purchased a separate insurance for both collision and liability from rentalcover). He asked whether I wanted to add insurance. I declined it and offered to show him proof of insurance.
At the end of the process he asked me to sign on the little screen to accept the car (no details shown on the screen). He brought the car to us and gave me a receipt. My mistake was to not check the receipt on the spot: he had added insurance for both liability and collision.
I contacted Hertz but they said I had signed the receipt (on a screen with no details being shown) so they wouldn't credit me back.
Lessons learned: record the conversation with the agent to prove you decline insurance. Ask to see the details of the rental before signing on that little black screen.

I recently rented a car from the Hertz location inside the Fairfax Courtyard Marriott (11220 Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy, Fairfax, VA), and I had an excellent experience. The location is conveniently situated inside the hotel—just walk in, and you'll find it.
The employee who assisted me was friendly, efficient, and made the process smooth and hassle-free. I was also very pleased with the car I received.
A standout moment was when I realized after leaving that I had forgotten to report some pre-existing damages. I called and left a message after hours, and to my surprise, they sent me a personal text letting me know they received my message. That level of customer service is pretty amazing!
Overall, I had a great experience, and I highly recommend this Hertz location for anyone in the Fairfax area.

My son and I had a great experience with this location. Josh, the manager, was very responsive to our initial calls and follow up calls. Yes, the lines can be long, and I suppose Hertz could ramp up the number of employees to help things move along faster, but if you get there at the right time, there is no issue. Josh was very courteous and professional and kept his word on the type of car and also assisted us with making sure the insurance company covered all costs. If you are in line and see him using his cell phone, that is a company cell phone and he is trying his best to multitask to support customers. Anyhow, our car return today was flawless. I will continue using this location.

Pick up process was easy. Upon returning the car, no one was available, ended up calling an employee who prompted me to leave the key on the desk after waiting for 15 minutes. I made sure to fill up a vehicle upon return (within 10 miles), but an employee had an audacity to add on two gallons of fuel stating that the vehicle had 90% of the gas upon return. I tried calling them multiple times to confirm, but they are completely evasive.

Where do I start. I made reservation early morning at 4am and I was been at pickup location at 11am I also called them and told that ill be at location by 11am. They are ok with that and when I went they told me that they don't have a car. When I questioned them then why do guys accepted my reservation. They told me that they don't have any access to close reservations only the corporate do that. I dont know how corporate will know that they have the cars or not. When I'm questing them they gave the car to other guy who just walked in with out the reservation. when I asked them about that they told me we don't have cars that's it. It was so rude.

Horrible service! Avoid this like the plague!Was informed 1 day in advance that no EVs were available. Fine!Show up on the day & they inform me that no car is available - need to wait another 2 hours!Absolutely ridiculous. These folks knew they didn’t have any cars when they closed shop but didn’t bother to inform.

I had a terrible experience with this Hertz location. My car needed to be repaired so I had gone through insurance to rent a car and this location was the closest to my repair shop so I went with them. At first everything was great; Someone at Hertz contacted me to walk through the process and made it sound super straight forward - just call them when I was planning on dropping off my car at the repair shop (parts have been delayed) and they’d have everything ready for me. So today I gave them a call and the gentlemen on the phone had NO idea how anything works with an insurance reservation and was super rude. After explaining it to him multiple times, he hung up on me. Needless to say, I’ll be going elsewhere for my car rental. I wish I would have read the reviews for this location prior to as many people seem to have issues with the service.

Can’t get premium cars here, even though we were able to rent one online.Staff was 25 min late for opening hours.We waited 20 because the car was still dirty, along with another customer whose car was not cleaned.The car we had ‘rented’ isn’t available here, but we as told we could go to the airport….Don’t try and “save time” coming here, just go to the airport.

Spare yourself the stress and frustration and use literally any other rental place. They do not keep enough cars in stock to match the number of reservations. We got into an accident on a Friday and needed a rental. We reserved the car on Saturday and our insurance company said Hertz will have it available 7am Monday. They didn’t have any cars until 5pm! We finally get one, then two days later we‘re pulled over by the police bc the car had EXPIRED TAGS. We go get the second car, and it smells like a disgusting combination of smoke and chemicals.

The rental office is located inside a hotel, and there's no outside signage. Just go on faith that you're in the right place until you see the Hertz desk.
