I absolutely love the Hair Cuttery in Fair Lakes. It’s an excellent location with plenty of parking and many shops surrounding it (Target, Walmart, ALDI, PetSmart, etc.). All the stylists at this location are kind, attentive, and professional. Joann is fantastic and one of the best stylists around. She is precise and detail-orientated with a well-rounded knowledge of the cutting and styling. She takes the time to understand your hair requests and incorporates your feedback throughout the process. I’ve been going to her for well over a year now and highly recommend her! A+

I am writing this review since the salon’s website asked for our feedback to be shared on Google. The stylist rushed through the appointment for my 11 year old daughter, who has long hair. We were here less than 20 minutes for a hair wash and cut. The haircut the stylist gave was uneven. I even asked before we left to make sure it was even. We had to go back and have the stylist fix it right away. We’ve been here many times and am highly disappointed by this visit. My family and I will not be back.

I've gotten cuts and occasionally color from various locations for years. The level of skill is inconsistent and unpredictable, even as prices continue to rise. Today was the last straw for me. I called this location and asked about availability for a shampoo and cut, no blow dry, and was offered various times. I stated that I was already in the area so would try on a different day rather than hang around for hours. The receptionist said they could take me immediately, so just come by. Arrived a few minutes later and was given entirely different information and told there was zero availability. Flaming waste of time, and a mistake that, after decades of coming here, I will not make again.

I have gotten my hair cut here multiple times, always leaving me unsatisfied. I never get the hair I want even after I show the picture. The hair had never been cute evenly. I feel like they only know how to so a couple of styles which is why my hair has only been cut 1 or 2 ways every time I have went. Additionally recently they have been really pushy with getting you to spend more. The front desk person and the stylist literally cornered me to get me to also add styling to my service. They kept telling me how it just makes it easier for the stylist to ensure that hair is cut right. I explained why I don't want to spend another $20+ because I was gonna go home and just wash my hair again. They offered that they will give me the cheaper styling price and I felt like I had to make that deal otherwise they wouldn't even let me put my stuff down. After I got my "styling" they made my hair straight. Which made it hard for me to vision the hairstyle I wanted to get because it was for wavy hair and I have wavy hair. Regardless, I when I went to go pay, the front desk person, who I believe is also the manager put in the full price for the styling when we discussed the lower styling price. She continued to say that we never had that conversation. When I clearly told her that I never wanted to be styled in the first place and they pushed me to get that service she finally lowered the price. I still feel like I got scammed. After I went home and washed my hair, I realized that it was not at all the hair style I wanted, it was just a basic cut with curtain bangs which is not at all what I asked for.

I recently had a very disappointing experience at this salon. Despite making an appointment for a shampoo and hair wash through their app, I was initially told that they no longer offered this service. After some back and forth, they reluctantly agreed to honor my appointment.
The manager who attended to me was cleaning the front desk with Lysol and then started washing my hair without rinsing her hands, which I found unhygienic. When I asked her to wash her hands, she refused. Additionally, she wanted to charge me double the price for washing my hair twice, as the instructions specified, and also intended to charge extra for brushing my hair.
This practice of charging extra for basic services is unacceptable. I will not be returning and will be escalating this matter to the health department.

I booked my session with Young after seeing a few reviews here. And I am very happy. She was very patient and communicated well with me to get my desired results. She made sure the length and style were exactly what I wanted.And during the payment I forgot to use the coupon I had but she was sweet enough to return me the amount that I would get with the code.I would definitely recommend her.

Went after 3 years. They are the biggest ripoff hair solan in this area. Shampoo conditioner hair cut 38 ... mind you no blow dry or style. Came home and noticed uneven hair strands here and there. Will not return.

I got a haircut from Judy and she was so sweet and kind. She did a wonderful job and my hair looks so much better. I've gotten bad haircuts in the past and was nervous but she immediately put me at ease and my hair looks great!
