We called FJ Hooks after asking our neighbor for a recommendation. She had used them for many years. They were very professional and prompt, and did a thorough and professional job with replacing a faulty hose bib and shut-off valve to the outside of the house. We had water leaking inside, and they were able to solve the problem. We would definitely call them again.

DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBING COMPANY!! We are having endless backups due to their terrible work in a NEW addition - only 5 years old. Now we have to spend over $20,000 to redo the entire sanitary pipe, as it was not properly installed. Avoid this company at all costs.
After seeing a response from the company, I'd like to follow up and say that I'd NEVER trust this company to address the numerous problems we've uncovered. TWO other reputable plumbing companies have evaluated the issues, and through camera work I've seen that the pipes have literally come apart at the seams. The work is totally shoddy, which is why we're having all of our problems. I'm an architect, and I've worked with many plumbing companies over the decades - unfortunately the worst problems I'm encountering are at my own house. I now have to pay thousands to fix the mess that was made....

We recently had our hot water heater fail.. FJ Hooks was the first place we called, they came out the very same day, found the new unit and installed that same day!! We hear from another contractor that the cost we paid was extremely reasonable. The team was so professional and we still can’t believe they got to us and finished so quickly. Had to leave a review as thanks!!

These guys are fantastic. We called them to make an appointment for our decreased water pressure in an upstairs shower. They made a non-emergency appointment with us within a few days. Then, we had a main water valve leak, which was an emergency. They came within a few hours and fixed it quickly. The bill was very reasonable for both situations and I'd definitely use them again and refer my family and friends as well. Their customer service reps make good use of texting to communicate, too.

Zack and Vaughn were terrific. This was the fastest service in my life. They diagnosed and fixed two separate problems in less than 30 minutes. One in the shower and one kitchen faucet. I was astonished! They were in and out. Polite and they knew exactly what they were doing. I highly recommend FJ Hooks. A friend recommended them. We were very impressed!

Wilmer and his crew from FJ just left my house like an hour ago after doing some work to relocate the plumbing for the kitchen sink, fridge, and an outside hose bib, and to remove a leaky saddle valve (all part of a bigger remodel/addition project). FJ Hooks seems to be a decent company, but they have some dishonest employees, and unfortunately, the ownership is not taking their employee's dishonesty seriously.Details: One of my showers developed a serious leak, causing water to come through the ceiling below. A handyman recommended I order "Ace For Delta Chrome Tub and Shower 3-Handle Remodeling Kit" since my shower parts were old, and I ordered two sets, one for each of my two showers.I contacted FJ Hooks to fix the leak and install the kits. They dispatched Zach and Von. Because they had good reviews, I trusted them and did not closely watch them. They fixed the leak in the first shower, but the shower knob was still weird, but I was happy to have the leak fixed. They didn't have time to replace the parts in the second shower so I scheduled them to come back about a week later.The second shower continued to have the same issues but worse. I didn't know it since a roommate primarily uses that shower. The hot water knob eventually wouldn't shut off the water and the roommate broke the knob trying to turn it off. Also, the first shower knob had also come completely loose because the 'new' stem(?) had cracked, and the knob screw wouldn't properly attach. I called FJ Hooks and asked for a different plumber to come and fix the issues. They sent Jesus, who replaced the hot water stem(?) in the second shower and then it worked fine.Jesus looked at the shower handles for both shower knobs and said both showers needed new diverters. Jesus came back about a week later, but had the wrong diverters. So, with Jesus's help, I ordered the correct parts online and then Jesus came and installed them.So, I had two three handle kits to completely replace the parts of my two showers. Zach and Von supposedly installed them, but three of the six parts failed almost immediately.Zach and Von say they left the extra parts at my house, which they did not do. Zach and Von claim the 3 handle kits did not have shower diverters, when the email receipt for the kits clearly shows a shower diverter was included and the email receipt was forwarded to the company when I first scheduled them.FJ Hooks doesn't believe Zach and Von are lying, despite the details of their story changing. FJ Hooks must believe that Zach and Von installed replacement parts and almost immediately had 3 of those 6 parts fail, as verified by one of their other plumbers.Or they must believe that I provided a different set of parts to Zach and Von, other than the one that I have a receipt for, since at one point Zach and Von claimed that the kits diddn't include diverters, even though there is a picture of the kit contents on the email receipt.And they must believe that I am lying about Zach and Von NOT leaving the extra parts at my house.To all that I simply ask why would I be lying? I just want my showers to work properly.Competent and honest tradesman are difficult to find. If you choose to work with FJ Hooks, I highly recommend asking for only Jesus and avoid Zach and Von at all costs.Service: Shower repair

Have used F J Hooks for many years on general plumbing issues for a 1934 house in Arlington. They are very dependable and their work is excellent. Easy to communicate with via both telephone and email, and prices are reasonable. Highly recommend.

Single mom here. Honestly, I was very overwhelmed trying to find a plumber during COVID for something I thought would be relatively simple. My faucet broke on my child's tub and needed it replaced but, had trouble with a diy. I called many plumbers for estimates that I couldn't afford or wanted to charge me a fee just to check it out. Everything was way out of what I could afford. My father found Steven's information from Nextdoor. He gave us a very fair quote and was able to come out quickly and install all parts. He was so kind, honest, and helpful. I'm very appreciative of the service he provided and the integrity he has! This is a small, family owned business I will be supporting in the future and highly recommend you do too! You won't regret it!

We discovered just days after closing on our home and while packing to leave, that our water heater was leaking, slowly from the top. I called Peggy at Hooks mid-afternoon and Zack and Jerry showed up early next morning with our new water heater. Not only were they pleasant, polite and strong young men (they moved the freezer with ease) but they did a beautiful re-piping job in a difficult corner so the new heater with its larger dimensions would fit. And my husband and I know what we are talking about. We have had a small plumbing company in Northern Virginia for 30 years and just closed our business in 2019. Dale was really impressed with their knowledge and work and their efficiency. Thank you so much for coming to our rescue. What a pleasure to see a new generation with integrity and great skills! FJ Hooks Plumbing performed gas line services for us, and we could not be happier with the responsiveness of their office staff and the quality of service of their technicians! Their team ran the gas pipe though the basement of our house to the new pool heater, and did so in a highly professional manner that respected the interior of our house. They were so easy to deal with, fairly priced, and attentive to completing the job at the highest quality and in a timely manner. We highly recommend them for any plumbing and gas services you might need in your future.
