The worst as far as appointment keeping. They tell us to be here by 12:15pm for a 12:45p appointment and we're still sitting here waiting and it's past 1:15pm. Echeck-in was done days before and still have to complete questionnaire which is identical to the one done at echeck-in.Finally called us back at 1:37pm to change, which only took 1 min because the only thing removed was inner wear (bra). Tech left and now waiting again. We didn't get out of there til 2:50pm. There were people who got there after us, like an hour after us and was taken back ahead of us. This was the worst experience I've had with a medical facility.

I can't say enough great things about this MRI center. This was my very first MRI and I was incredibly nervous about how it would go. When we first arrived, we noticed it's a very clean facility and there is enough space for my husband to sit in the huge waiting room until my MRI was completed. There were ports to hook up our electronics to charge and the seats were comfortable. The front desk was super helpful and informative!! We were an hour early, but they were not irritated by that. Someone ahead of me was a no show for their MRI, so I went early. The staff was super accommodating (I don't like needles so they wrapped my IV with non-see through bandages) and did a very thorough intake/answered all my questions!! In the MRI room, I was able to have headphones/music and an eye mask (they supplied these items)! I also requested to listen to my Religion's music and they accommodated! It was such a great experience that I prefer MRI's over CT Scans, 100%! Thank you Fairfax MRI Center!!

I haven’t even made it in to my appointment yet and I won’t be after how the staff spoke to me over the phone I wish I would I’m never going to go somewhere and be disrespected

The staff here could not have been kinder nor more professional and patient. Everyone took the time to explain everything: Payment, MRI procedures, next steps. I was offered water, and those unmasked offered to wear one for my own comfort. I was in and out quickly, too! Ingrid and Karen specifically were superb - Karen’s ‘bedside manner’ throughout the MRI was A+++.

Made an appointment over a month ago for a follow up MRI. I confirmed my appointment by text and phone call the week before my exam. I was notified ONE HOUR before my exam that it was cancelled due to the order being expired. Why wasn't I told it was expired when I scheduled the appointment with my order number or when I confirmed my appointment with someone on the phone? Apparently it was because those are "different offices" and I guess INOVA offices don't communicate with one another?

Double charge for insurance. There are separate FRC and INOVA charges. You don’t get this charge at other FRC facilities. They are upfront about the extra cost upon arrival. If they had mentioned this on the phone instead of at a 5:30am appointment, I probably wouldn’t have chosen this facility.Staff and tech were great. Facility is clean and the machine is VERY fast compared to others.2* for money/insurance 5* for facility 5* for staff

I had an appointment at 5:30 last Frday. I arrived around 5 PM and checked in, I did not receive my MRI until almost 7 o'clock. The young lady told me that they were told to take all patients no matter how late they were. So the person who is on time is punished? I had had northing to eat since I thought I would be home in time to eat at a reasonable hour, but I didnt get home until 7:30. I was very angry and felt very used because no one told me what was going on. It is not fair to the customers who follow the rules that they get penalized If this is the case, I will go elsewhere for my procedures. I would not recommend this practice to any of my family or friends since they do not seem to care about the people who arrive on time. This is very poor customer service.

I had to come in very early in the morning for an MRI. Everyone was friendly and helpful. It was a bit of a wait because the MRI I had done has more steps involved. But the staff kept coming in to check on me and give me updates. And I was offered warm blankets while waiting.I have a weird fear of large machines and when the techs noticed I was uneasy they offered me a blind fold. I appreciated that!

Fairfax MRI Center does not keep proper records, they are impossible to communicate with and overall a dangerous provider. I caution anyone to work with them.

Had a procedure today at INOVA Fairfax MRI Center. This center is sooo huge, without signs you will get lost.Signage is very good throughout the center and arrival areas. The intake personnel were very nice all around. My technician who did my procedure was very thorough, patient, and she made me feel very comfortable.Building is very beautiful inside and out!! Also exceptionally clean throughout the premises!Even had a healing art gallery room!!

I had an appointment at 10am , followed the procedure stayed in text message and showed up 15 minutes early, greeted by front desk and filled up the paperwork! After waiting 45 minutes, I asked when would be my turn, they said they need a confirmation?????I have booked this appointment 3 weeks ago! Was not enough to gain necessary confirmations !Awful way to treat patients and customer service!

Really ? you could not get the confir in last 3 weeks? finally after waiting more than 2 hours, I had to leave and schedule with another MRI center! very poor customer service!

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I had an excellent experience here. Everyone I interacted with was kind, very helpful, and professional. The machines were quick and the entire process was seamless and easy.I would happily go back here again for a scan and I recommend anyone else do the same if they need an MRI.

I came here to do my diagnostic MRI. Imaging was cool, they were professional and quick. However, the staff told me she couldn’t give me the imagine disk right way because the machine was slow on that day, instead I can come back anytime to pick it up. So I came again for pick up, the first checkin lady says it’s not there so they need to remake it but it should be fast. I waited patiently but an hour later that first checkin lady is gone and it’s still not ready. Some one from the back came out and the new checkin lady helped me ask what’s going on. Then they started to make the CD at that moment. I almost cried in the waiting area. I mean, being suspected to have some bad disease is already stressful I didn’t know imaging handling could add even more stress to it.

I've used Fairfax Radiology centers for many years and had good experiences. This was (I hope) an anomaly. This center is hard to find -- the scheduler was not familiar with the area but said to park in the yellow lot. Well, the yellow lot is huge, underground, and serves a multi story, multi-wing collection of towers. I had to ask for directions several times as I parked in an area far removed from the MRI Center. The order was for a MRI with and without contrast. Prep called for fasting and drinking lots of water. The technician inserting the needle for the contrast had trouble getting it in. Very unpleasant. Left a large bruise fading after two weeks. I was escorted to the imaging room, asked why I was there and told to lie down, raise my knees, did I want a blanket (yes), handed a bulb -- press if needed. No discussion of the test, how long it would take, what to do. After being given ear plugs the test began. During the test, which lasted maybe 15-20 minutes, there was a voice not quite audible that occasionally said something completely unintelligible. I was concerned at first that I was supposed to do something, but had no idea what it was. Sometime in the middle of the test I felt a brief sharp pain and assumed it was the contrast fluid entering my arm. At several points a voice said distinctly take a deep breath, hold, then you can breath. Eventually the noise and the tests ended. I was glad to be released.
