For two and an half months we worked with Mimi Nguyen, from Debbie Dogrul Associates, LLC. Through the whole process of scheduling and touring homes and putting in offers only to have the homes out bid by others was extremely difficult for me and my husband; but Mimi always had a cool head and pleasant disposition. She is an extremely knowledgable real estate agent; always responding to informational requests with great professionalism. My spouse and I were thrilled to have worked with Jamie Petrik and the rest of the Debbie Dogrul Associates team in the sale of our home in Annandale, Virginia. We have known Jamie for several years as a good personal friend and attend the same church (Expectation Church, Braddock Road). We moved out of our home and were torn between renting it out or selling it. Jamie advised us at the time not to sell that the market was not great. However, in January, he recommended that it was a great time to sell as the market was picking up, but he didn’t pressure us to make a decision about it.Once we were ready to sell, Jamie came to our current home early on a Saturday morning to discuss our sales goal and expectations. He went out of his way to be sure we were comfortable, including providing recommendations and managing the implementation of repairs to the home. He helped us to get contractors, communicated with us on invoices and to get our buy-in at every step without putting pressure on us. Jamie offered us Debbie Dogrul Associates capacity and resources to bring the home to the market in record time. We signed with him on a Saturday, and Jamie and the team were able to get the house prepared, staged, photographed and listed in only 4 days!The transaction went smoothly, even though there was a lot of activities and repairs that went into the house. Furthermore, during the offer negotiation, it was very clear that Jamie was on our side and working hard to be sure we got the best deal. As a testament to their great support, we received multiple offers after only three days of listing and were excited to close the deal right where we wanted it! Melissa Govoruhk and Desire Dixon from Team DDA managed the sale process providing timely communication and support, including checking on us periodically and coordinating with the Title company to make the sale process enjoyable.Although we have been friends with Jamie for some years, he maintained professionalism from the beginning to the end of the transaction. We sold our Oakton home in January 2024 with Melissa Govoruhk, and we could not have made a better choice of realtor. We moved across the country before the house went on the market and Melissa took care of absolutely everything we needed to prep the house to hit the market. From a handyman, to house cleaners to the amazing staging. If an issue arose, she contacted us with the issue AND a solution, and then made it happen. Last week, I sold my house in Annandale, with the help of Jamie Petrik, Melissa Govoruhk, and the rest of TeamDDA. The excellent service Jamie and everyone provided made selling a 5-star experience from beginning to end. If I sell again, I’d want to work with Jamie and the rest of the team.I met Jamie at a TeamDDA Seller’s Seminar 4 years ago. (The seminar is a great way to get advice and ideas for putting a house on the market.) I wasn’t ready to sell at that point, so Jamie reached out periodically, keeping me informed about the market in Annandale and checking if I had any questions. When I needed repairs or another service to get the house ready for sale and to move, he recommended several service professionals, some of whom I hired. When I was ready to sell, he and Melissa G walked me through the process of pricing the house and showing it. Jamie found an interested buyer for the house even before the For Sale sign went up and negotiated a contract that was I thought was fair and got me the price and terms I needed. Desiré Dixon helped with coordination on the settlement process. Jamie also put me in touch with Melissa Klawinski on the buyer’s side of TeamDDA. She was instrumental in helping me secure a new place. The whole process was seamless because Jamie and the entire team are very knowledgable and kept me informed at each step. They were always available to answer my questions, prevent or fix a problem, or provide me helpful advice.
