The staffing is fine. However, I was just charged full price on a sale item bcz it is a shared phone and I cannot update the household info. This affects couponing, discounts, and feedback online.Plus, there is an issue with what we will call "Oil Truck Stop" customers being RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. The staff just roll over for these people.HELP!

Why work in customer service if you are rude and have zero desire to help a customer. I called to ask if an item was in stock and their response was "umm probably not." I responded "could someone please check before I drive all the way into the store?" She let out a giant sigh and said "hold on!" Came back after 30 seconds and said "nope we don't have it" in a very rude manner.

Usually well stocked, may run out of hot buys early though. Parking not an issue, but sometimes there's heavy traffic on either Braddock Rd or Ox Rd. Checkout is usually pretty quick.

I generally like this store as an option to Wegmans, as it has some things that Wegman's doesn't carry. And Pedro, in frozen foods, was super helpful and polite. On the not-so-good side, I recently saw a store employee putting boxes of ice cream directly on the floor while stocking the freezers. In this day and age of COVID, that is super scary. Speaking of, the plexiglass storage case for baked goods is disgusting. The top is covered in dust, and there's a greasy mess around the handles to the doors from people's hands. That shows a lack of attention to detail and poor supervision.

11/30/19 Nice Giant and well organized. Since Thanksgiving ended, many people were still stuff and the store was nearly empty when we arrived. I liked the color changing minaret near the Giant Foods store. It is something that really stands out from other Giant Food stores. The wine section was one of the most well stocked areas I have ever seen. It made things easy to find and buy. Nice job Giant Foods Employees.

Well I have been shopping here for a while after work, I work at George Mason nearby, to grab a few items while heading home. Used to be a lovely experience with great employees and groceries. However, my favorite employee has disappeared. I would come in every Tuesday to see her, but now I can not remember her name for it has been so long (and I'm just too old). She was young and worked at the self checkout, she was always the best to customers there late night. I called twice to see what happened and was given two different answers...one being that she was sick and coming back soon and another being that she is on vacation. Unfortunately, I still haven't seen her since, but I think I will go in person and ask the young man she always talked to where she could be. Such a mystery, let's all find the self checkout girl! Other than that, the store is still great for quick grocery pickups. Employees there, while not the same, are still pleasant and helpful. Great job Giant, now it is just time to fix those prices!

I needed to visit the customer service counter in the evening, as the front end manager did not have access to the office. Waited 25 minutes for Kristen, who was supposed to be taking care of something in the back. After waiting 15 minutes, I actually walked through the back of the store supply area yelling her name. No Kristen, and no one else was authorized to help. If an emergency had occurred, this store was completely unprepared to respond. Horrible leadership and responsiveness. I shudder to think how the food is cared for, if staying on duty is beyond her capacity. Personally, I won't risk it and will take my business elsewhere.

I came to do an exchange at the customer service, but the employee who was suppose to be there wasn't present. The cashier had told me she must be in the back "taking care of something." After 25 minutes pass by and 3 announcements on the telecom telling her there are customers waiting, she finally shows up walking casually and texting on her phone. Her name is Kristen and she was the manager on duty. She did not even apologize for the delay and instead gave a condescending comment that "people have to use the bathroom" when I told her I waited 25 minutes. This employee exhibits such unprofessional and poor customer service that I will never be returning to this location.

This is one of the better, more recently renovated Giants. Due to its proximity to George Mason University, it has good deals on quick foods to prepare. Years ago this Giant looked like something you'd find in a poor Eastern Europe country. Now with the upgrades it's flourishing. One major selling points is plenty of parking, occasional deals on certain foods, and rarely long lines to check out. You're going to pay more here than Aldi , but it's cheaper than the precipitously outrageous Safeway. You can usually find cereals, yogurts, and chicken/meat products at a value. Produce can be expensive but on a positive note theirs is fresh. Some of the best blueberries here, along with strawberries for a fruit smoothie at home. The store is always well stocked. This one offers more products than a lot of other Giant stores in the area. Of course, if you use your club card you can save money at participating Shell gas stations. I'm glad to recommend this one. It's a clean and well run grocery store, and the employees are helpful. If you want drama free this is where to go.

Pre-renovation Giant probably deserves the 3 stars it currently has but current Giant definitely does not! They remodeled this store during my junior year, and honestly when it was done I couldn't believe how much it had changed. It's probably the best Giant I've ever been to. They have a wine bar where you can sample their wines and beers, and when I went they gave my boyfriend and I a free hotdog. You can also have popcorn if you get a drink. I've never seen a grocery store with a bar in it, but it's pretty good. It's also an excuse to drink wine after you get your groceries. Which, if you're a college student, you don't need an excuse but oh well. I come here pretty much weekly and I love their selection of healthy food and cheese. Especially the cheese, if we're being honest. I used to have to go to Whole Foods or Wegman's if I wanted decent cheese but Giant has a great variety now. Also, definitely hit up their discount baked goods, as you can usually find some good stuff for really cheap. They also give a discount for Mason students, so I think that and its proximity to campus makes it an essential for sure for any Mason student. The only thing I'd say is a negative is that some of their prepared food that they sell at the deli isn't very good and they don't really have a good selection of meat like other grocery stores do. Also, all of the employees here are really nice, and they'll recognize you as a Mason student and give you the discount without asking for your ID even if you've only been there once or twice.

One of the older male cashiers told me I needed to get my nails done. Seriously? His name tag said he'd been working since 1991. You'd think he would know a little more about customer service.
