We reached out to Mr. Cha last year to have our taxes reviewed and we are going back to him this year. Having done our taxes for almost 20 years with different CPAs and tax prepares, he is one of the few who takes the extra step to make sure your information remains safe and confidential. We also appreciate his expert advise and his services are affordable.

Update:Someone at the firm decided to leave a reply to try to undermine the credibility of my review by claiming they "never had any communication from any of our clients in regards to your situation".Looking past the obvious, that there would be no reason for a client that suspected their CPA may have inadvertently or intentionally leaked or stolen sensitive information to contact them, because all trust would be completely lost at that point.If you suspect a firm of such a thing (whether intended or not), would you simply ask "hey did you steal my identity or did insecure data handling practices cause it to wind up in someone else's hands?" and expect an honest answer?I don't believe that would lead to a very forthcoming response. I'll let the appropriate authorities do their job and investigate the situation to the fullest extent possible and they can decide what actually happened here and hold whomever is responsible criminally accountable. Until then, I strongly suspect that there was a data breach or someone intentionally misused my personal information.The whole situation is extremely strange and then the reply saying that they use "appropriate security measure" without specifying what that even means does not bolster confidence.Finally, claiming all of the reviews are real customers -- and that they can prove it. Many of the reviews are left by people using monikers or first names with initials, making it much more difficult to qualify that these were real people. I am leaving my review anonymously because I'd rather avoid potential retaliation if indeed my ID was stolen maliciously.Prior review:There's something strange going on at this firm. After sending them photo IDs and other personal info as a part of our tax prep, we shortly thereafter experienced ID theft. A credit card opened online, airline tickets to S. Korea bought. Over $8,000 in charges. Never had any ID theft before this and the timing was very, very suspect.Did they do it directly? Did they sell the records? Were they hacked? I don't know. I just get a very odd feeling about the entire situation.The customer experience wasn't particularly great, either, unfortunately. I'm quite surprised to see all of these glowing reviews and wonder if any of them may have been bought, because they are in stark contrast to the kinds of miscommunications, mistakes, and then lack of follow through that occurred.At the end of the day I am genuinely concerned about the entire situation and will be referring the ID theft component over to the appropriate state and federal authorities to investigate.

I picked Cha Group for my 2022 tax return after reading the great Yelp reviews.- Helpful website which was clear about services provided- Answered a lot of my questions when I was vetting them as well as after I reviewed the draft tax returns- Provided a virtual option that allows me to do everything digitally via a client portal for uploading tax docs, receiving tax return drafts, and communicating- Produced the tax return on time based on their estimate (3-4 weeks)- Made me feel secure with some things: was able to meet Cha in person before doing the virtual stuff, can use app-based 2FA on the client portal, can pay tax authorities directly (via their websites) after they file the return- Draft return also includes a little financial advice and analysis (not just tax forms)- Rate felt reasonable

We've used the Cha Group for three years now and each year our taxes have gotten more complex. Andy and his staff have done an excellent job. They've squeezed us in for appointments to discuss all of our questions and have been honest when they haven't immediately known the answer, but then went and researched and got back to us. Their rates are very reasonable (we pay for both personal and business, as well as monthly payroll). We plan to use them for the foreseeable future and have recommended them to others.

I had an unusual tax issue that required a CPA tax service. I worked with the Cha Group and could not be happier with the professional service, reasonable pricing, and clarity on what I needed versus what I thought I needed. Andy was great -- he explained how to address my issue in a straightforward way. I thought amended tax returns would be required for various years but Andy walked me through tax law and worked out a relatively simple solution that was less costly.

Highly recommend Cha Group services. Not only are they reasonably priced, they were very thorough and organized. They worked all hours of the night to prepare my taxes. They communicated with me in every step and answered all my questions immediately. I have already referred several family and friends to Cha Group and definitely plan to use them again for all my tax services.

Extremely straightforward and easy to talk to. I called to make an appointment and even during this busy tax season they had some availability and provided me a broad range of estimates and asked very good questions to understand the services I needed, something I wasn't provided for 6+ months with my previous accounting firm. The lady who answered the call (I forget her name) was articulate and knowledgeable about their services and asked concise questions to determine what I may need. I run two small businesses and am recently married so it was a breath of fresh air to get straightforward information after a long time of uncertainty. They might be a bit pricier than other firms but well worth it. I picked them because they're really close to where I live but would highly recommend giving them a ring.

We started using Cha Group for our 2021 filing and had Andy go back and do a 2020 re-file. He is professional and very responsive and was able to get us a much better tax refund than we could get using TurboTax on our own. Definitely would recommend.

I had a confusing tax situation this year and no more confidence in those online e-file companies. Andy got back to me within minutes to set up a consultation call and walked me through my situation in a way that made sense and made me comfortable retaining his services to manage the issue. My taxes were then resolved within a week to a far better result than I imagined possible, their rates were fair and they were extremely responsive. Never again will I attempt to do my taxes on my own now that I've found Cha Group

I liked how professional and meticulous they were. In fact, I recommended them to some of my friends and they all agree how professional and detailed their services were and they were all satisfied. I won't recommend anything unless I find it very good. Their office is neat and clean just like their work and I like their staff. It gave an impression that they work as a team which is always a plus. I recommend to check them out.
