This was my first time to this place. I was excited when I arrived and saw how big a place this is. I enjoyed walking the grounds and almost park like atmosphere. Were it not for my experience with the older lady with glasses at the front desk, I would’ve given this place five stars. Eating her lunch right beside the cash register, she was visibly annoyed when she looked up and saw me standing there. When I advised her that I couldn’t find the price on one of the plants I was planning to buy, again annoyed, but this time verbally, she snippily told me to just look on the bottom (which I had already done). When she looked at the bottom of the plant, she couldn’t find the price either. Shrugging her shoulders and frowning, she looked at me and said $19.95. Needless to say, I did not feel like a welcome customer, nor did I feel appreciated for buying several plants. As a first time visitor to this place, I walked away with several plants, but unfortunately, my experience with the unhappy woman at the front desk will make me think twice about returning.

We stopped by since we were in the area going to Rockler, as we are from Fredericksburg and hoping to find a larger selection . Parking is the absolute worst if you are in anything but a small car. The plants are beautiful, however, with a large, diverse selection that are evidently well taken care of. Navigating the property is as terrible as the parking, unfortunately. The carts can only go in certain places and the walkways/stairs are uneven from displaced bricks and wood. Do not take anyone who has mobility issues or is even a little unsure on their feet. Also, don't expect to find anyone to answer a question or make recommendations until you go to the main house. It was busy, true, but the availability of someone to make recommendations would have been appreciated and possibly would have garnered more sales. The prices on the plants were great, especially considering the NOVA location. Time to check out was slightly confusing, as there is no sign that says to wait for someone to write your order. When a gentleman started to write us up though, his attitude was intolerable when, after he counted the plants I started picking up the ones that had fallen due to the uneven patheays and he snapped at me that he "can't do this if i keep moving them". As my husband was paying , he attempted to offer me what appeared to be plant food as a freebie but I rebuffed him as I had had enough. From the top of the hill, he also watched us the whole time as we loaded our purchases into the truck, which came across as hostile. Recommend for the plant selection and quality, but everything else was a "Never again"

Greatest family owned nursery. I love their plants and trees. Always highest quality and Steve is a grass turf god!!! So incredible knowledge and tips. My lawn is the envy of the neighborhood.

This is a long term player in Fairfax region but have not learned anything since 1962 about how to treat customers? We were practically kicked out at 520pm because they closed at 530 pm . She said we will close the gates if we didn’t move our car . Their loss , we went to Merrifield garden just up the road and spent $650 buying trees and mulch . Ignorance is always defeated by good knowledgeable people . Don’t go there , you will lose more than you will $ave

Good prices for good plants. I come here every year because they offer a good selection at a better price than Merrifield. Sometimes the quality is not as good as Merrifield but the price does reflect that. Never had a problem with their service. Purchased a 10 foot tree recently and they loaded it into my truck. Their pickup procedure of calling ahead to alert the staff was very easy. Once you go to the front desk, they will notify their staff to bring the tree out for pickup.

I arrived right at closing because of an accident on Rt. 66 so I called and politely asked if I can very quickly walk in and purchase one thing. I had driven 30 min to get there. The person answering the phone replied "No, we're closed!" I totally understand that was his right and my loss and I shouldn't have expected forgiveness nor kindness.I appreciate the response from the business office.

I went today to shop around and found a few trees/plants that I was interested in. I tried to ask questions, but everyone acted like they were doing you a favor. Seems like everyone is having a bad day. Definitely very unfriendly, from the staffs in the garden to the cashiers. I would say that the price is fair, but can they be more friendly and answer the customers in a friendlier tone? Really made me not want to come back.

Absolutely amazing place to buy plants, trees, roses, shrubs, water fountains, mulch, etc. Anything you can think of for plants and gardening is here. Have fun and enjoy. Love this place.

Not sure what's so bad about the customer service. I've asked for help locating some plants and they point me in the right direction. They also have a very good selection of harder to find outdoor plants for a cheaper price than the more commercialized nurseries. This nursery isn't good for indoor house plants btw.

I love this place. The prices are reasonable and in most cases the prices are less than Home Depot or Lowes. They have a great selection. I was amazed how large the place was. I found the employees to be very friendly and helpful.

I love Betty's Azalea Ranch. They have every kind of plant and flower you could imagine dirt and mulch and anything else. They're very helpful when you're needing some guidance.

I'm not too sure why the reviews are so low, well obviously I read them, that it was mostly due to poor customer support. I will say on my visit that I did not encounter any negativity or anything that's in the comments below. The quality of the flowers and plants were very healthy on my visit and the prices of the flowers were too good, i could not pass them up! Anything i grow or bring home grows, so perhaps because the previous reviews were during the winter season, the variety must've been limited and or the indoor plants weren't great? Not sure? All my veggies and flowers I bought nearly 3 years ago are still doing well.
