  This shelter does amazing work. I got my furever pup from here and any questions or concerns I had along the way/adoption questions were all answered very fast. I also volunteer here and I always see the staff doing the absolute best they can for all the animals there. I’d highly recommend rescuing an animal from here... read full comment

  My wife and I have both adopted dogs and volunteered our time at HTAR. The staff clearly love the animals and are doing great work here. Adopting an animal always carries some risk but HTAR works with you as much as possible to set both you and the animals up for success.

  We adopted our dog, Benji, from Homeward Trails about 1 year ago. We had a great experience with them. They were friendly, knowledgable, and transparent throughout the whole adoption process. A great rescue organization and would definitely recommend coming here to adopt. We absolutely love our dog and are forever grateful!
