Convenient location. Gas a little high. Workers give glares to lots of customers.

Stopped by due to a toddler having a bathroom emergency. Was turned away from the store bathroom to a port-o-potty outside that was overflowing with fecal matter.
I have been a customer for many years, not any longer…

Davis General Store... Besides the gas station, it is way more than just another convenience store. Inside you'll find a sandwich counter with breakfast and lunch specials, subs and sandwiches made while you wait, with a smaile and pleasant conversation. If you're in a hurry, made daily selections include egg, chicken, and ham salad. Southern traditions like pork BBQ with cole slaw, with a Moon Pie and RC cola! Also available is a wide assortment of sodas and beer. Be sure to say hi to Salsa, the 15 year old with lab, if she is awake... always good to see the old girl there. The Saturday morning highlight is the farm stand set up by Becerra family at their farm in Hague, VA. All produce raised by them. A well kept secret with great tomatoes (including green for frying, heirloom, and the type that one slab makes a super BLT.) Peppers of all varieties, delicious and substantial bi-color corn, several types of squash, zucchini, and don't forget a bouquet of flowers flowers that the family grows. Well worth the short drive from Fairfax County Parkway to check it out.Another review said no restroom... there is one, you have to ask.. the restroom is a clean and well-stocked porta-john out back with hand sanitizer.Pleanty of parking and a couple of tables across the lot from the store. There appears to be an outdoor seating area but I've never been there when it was open (if it ever is.) They sell propane and kerosene.

An old general store with a really good deli but now with covid, they don't open the deli until 1:30 p.m. You would think lunch is their money maker & disappointed I can't help support them.

If I could give this place less than a star I would. I stopped to get gas and use the restroom this morning. The man working inside the store was so rude and told me to use the Porta potty outback. I went out back and open the door and there was feces and flies and everything all over the toilet seat and the floor. I ended up using the restroom beside one of the trailers outside because I couldn’t wait. I refuse to give them my money for gas with a restroom that look like that and with being treated the way I Was. Don’t go there expecting anything good. Never again

Simply the best. Fried chicken is great, the employees are great, and they are a true country store with a wide variety. Curtis

Looks can be deceiving. Gas is a little overpriced but convenient. Propane is ok. But, wow, inside needs major overhaul. Covid-19 update: the owners, employees and regulars don't wear masks inside or out. If you wear a mask inside they stare at you like you're crazy. Woman behind the counter coughs like she's smoked cigarettes for 60 years...and without a mask. Avoid this place at all costs. Virginia health department needs to review their operations.

My family and I had the worst experience in all of our road trips, had been driving for 2and a half hours, stopped, to relieve ourselves and get a snack, and gas, got neither. We were told, no restroom facilities, and cash only for purchases, mind you we're from out of town, and in a time were its easier to use a credit card. We managed to make it, to a friendlier more hospitable business, would not recommend.

What a dump. As a positive reviewer said, "Like Sheetz, but even more unapologetically redneck." Not a good think IMO. I called ahead to see if they sold propane tanks. I had the hardest time trying to get the guy to understand that I didn't want a refill. I wanted a tank. They have them. Great. Drove over there to get the tank and gas up the car. First pump had a sign indicating it wasn't working with credit cards. Fine. Second pump had no sign, but wouldn't work with either of two cards. Third pump wouldn't work either. Sigh. I donned my mask and went in. I had to go in anyway to get the tank but was hoping to limit interpersonal contact by buying the gasoline outside. 5 people were inside. A sloppy looking woman eating a do-nut at the cash register and 4 customers. No one was wearing a mask. I left.

Many things are very over priced including the gas. If you are in a pinch, stop here. If you can, go somewhere else. The only thing of good value here is the propane tank refills.
