Brennan charges more than the dealership. Go to this place at your own risk. Wanted to charge me nearly twice what the dealership charged. What must Brennan's labor rate be? He should've become e a surgeon to make that kind of money. Also, he wanted to mark up the part 300% and charge $145 to diagnose the issue which was simple. I ended up paying his diagnostic fee because he wouldn't negotiate it. You have to get your keys so it's pretty much extortion. I took my car to the dealership and paid $260 (diagnosis included) for a repair Brennan wanted to charge over $400 for.

Recently, I needed some repairs done on my Kia Sorento, and Hi-tech was my first and preferred choice, especially for electrical repairs.Initially, I encountered a bit of a hiccup in my experience. I had an issue where three of my doors wouldn't unlock on the second tap. My initial diagnosis from Hi-tech suggested that it was a mechanical issue, with all actuators failing simultaneously and only sporadically functioning. However, after another visit, Hi-tech considered my suggestions, and we discovered that the issue lay in the 2-Tap Unlock relay within the BCM.In the end, everything was resolved as expected, and I always trust Hi-tech to address issues with fair pricing. I've never had to argue about pricing when dealing with them.One of Petersburg's reputable auto electrician mechanics, with over three decades of experience, only recommends two places to his customers. I had driven from the DC area down to Petersburg for the day for business, and near the end of my drive, my SUV’s back end started making strange noises that got louder and louder. Hoping to find someone to look at it before my drive back to DC, I hunted around Petersburg to try to find someone that could do some impromptu diagnostics and/or repairs. Another shop that did not have availability recommended Hi-Tech, and when I stopped by they were able to quickly look at the issue and make what turned out to be a simple fix. I did not expect to find a shop that could take me with zero notice, but Hi-Tech made it work. Excellent customer service!Service: General repairs & maintenance

We travel an hour to get to Hi-Tech. We have used them in the past for oil changes etc. Have always been happy with the work and customer service. Brennan is a great communicator. He keeps us informed as to completion of job and cost.This past November was our first repair. Brennan had the team diagnosis the problem, gave us the options and the associated costs. We decided the option, he advised of the estimate completion date and cost. VERY happy with Hi-Tech.We are new to the area so finding a reliable mechanics was relief!!Services: General repairs & maintenance

Avoid this place… Charged me $400 to diagnose an issue after I advised the manager of what the issue could be. After diagnostic they told me the issue was “in the motor” and they could get me a replacement engine (several thousand dollars) . Took it home and fixed the issue myself for less than $200. Clueless OR intentionally trying to take advantage of the customer???Service: Auto engine diagnostic
