“I had a great experience here getting a tire replaced due to a flat on I 95. They didn’t have the exact size tire in stock but no one in Emporia did because I called around quite a bit. They were able to find a used one close enough in size to get me home until I could get it replaced with the accurate size. Great friendly service and I was in and out in like 30 minutes. $50.”
“David! hands down one of the most personable service writers I've had the pleasure of meeting. I didn't catch the tech's name who was helping us try to find a replacement tire for a broken belt on one of mine. Spectacular service! over and above the call of duty and helped me locate a shop that had the tire I needed to get back on the road!
Thank you so much for being there and saving our 1400 mile trip!
Great shop!”
“This is going to be a story.Main Street Auto & Tire is a very generous and humble auto repair shop, and they are wonderful people. I recommend them fully and am so happy to be writing this review. So I was moving from Florida to New York State. My car was full, with a cargo carrier on the top. I left from Florida at 6AM, stopped for food for an hour on my stop, continued driving, and then stopped for gas. When I turned my car back on, I noticed my battery light was on. So not knowing what to do, I went to the nearest Advanced Auto for them to test my battery. Unfortunately, they were not able to test my actual battery, because of where my battery was located. They were able to tell me that my battery was only giving off 12 volts. For a 12 volt battery, it should have been giving off at least 13.6 to 14.2 or something along those lines. Based on that information, it was most likely a dying alternator. So I drive to Main Street Auto & Tire at 5:17PM on a Tuesday, walk into the shop and tell them my story - of moving to NY and I had a planned stay at a hotel there in Virginia, but the hotel was still 2 hours away. I couldn't complete my drive to the hotel with a failing alternator. I know the situation was hard for them, because I walked in their shop, only 10 minutes to close, and was kind of out of options. They told me that if they could get the part, and the technicians were willing to stay, they would change my alternator. They were able to get the part and the technicians were able to change my alternator. It was such a blessing for them to stay for me. It says a lot about their work ethic if they were willing to stay late to help me - a single female - in a time of need, when they were about to close shop. I was so fortunate to run into such a kind and generous staff, willing to help me out. They were also willing to take a credit card number over the phone, because my wallet had been stolen only a few days before my move, so I was limited on my in-person funds.Thank you so much, Main Street Auto. You were a blessing to me and I really can't thank you enough. I was able to get back to NY in one piece, and I am so beyond thankful.”
“We started going here for our inspections years ago because they do not try to make stuff up in order to guzzle money from you. Years ago my wife and I took our vehicle to another place to have it checked it out and we watched how no one there oil change, inspection, tire repair, left without something further wrong with their vehicles it's 3-4 customers with a problem. They worked you up in the most dishonest way but Dupree's isn't like that this far I have found them honest and respectful. If I can I normally do my own work but if I cannot fix an issue I might be paying them a visit,”
“If I could give a 10 star I would. Forgot to bring a spare trailer tire for my trailer and ended up having a blow out. These guys were the only ones who were open on Saturday and answered my phone call. I limped my trailer 10 Miles to them hoping they could get me back on the road. They tried multiple rims and tires that did not fit and ended up giving me their own trailer rim and tire and got me back on the road for my trip back up to Boston. Can’t thanks these guys enough. Talk about taking a shirt off your back to help someone.”

Thank God we notice the change in how the car started driving and was able to pull over literally 3 min from the dealership. They was able to take care of us with no problem and help us get back on the road safely! Thank you so much to the service team!”
“Purchased a 2021 Silverado from Boyd's Chevrolet of Emporia, Va and the level of customer service from start to finish was hands down the easiest and most professional experience we have had purchasing a vehicle. Our sales rep, Barry Ferguson, was top notch and made sure we were well informed through every step of the process. We were given a very fair allowance for our trade and a great price on our new truck. From arriving at the dealership, test driving to signing papers and being on our way, we had a total of 2 1/2 hours at the dealership! Boyd's customer service is above and beyond what we expected! Great team!!!”
“I don't have any new vehicles, but every time that I take one of my used vehicles in for repair David finds the problem and get the repairs done in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. (A 1st. class auto repair shop).”
