If you want beautiful, solid wood furniture and great service this is the furniture store you should be shopping at!! We bought a dresser and 2 nightstands made in solid cherry at their annual October sale in Culpepper and they were ready for delivery ahead of their initial estimate. I provided my own drawer handles (I didn't see any offered that I wanted) and they gladly installed them on the dresser and nightstands. Delivery and setup in my bedroom (on the 2nd floor) was included and even helped me move the existing furniture around to accommodate the new pieces. I can't say enough good things about the quality of the furniture, the workmanship and the staff. The prices are in line with stores like Pottery Barn and others but the quality exceeds what you pay at these big-box stores. Touring the work shop is a must - the various woods and colors are amazing. Other accessories such as hand made pottery lamps (amazing!!), and decorative items are always for sale. (Thank you for my "kitchen squirrels" - they were wonderful gifts for my friends that bake a lot). If you have any doubts about their furniture, just look at the older reviews - they are consistent with my experience. You will keep this furniture forever! Will be purchasing more products in the future from these folks.

We have been buying from Hardwood Artisans for more than 20 years. Their furniture is beautiful, well-built, and lasts forever. They also built the countertop for our 10 foot kitchen island.

A bespoke furniture maker in the heart of Culpeper County, near the Culpeper Regional Airport. They give free tours of their wood shop daily so you can actually see everything being made by hand and meet the craftsmen and craftswomen. Their furniture is beautiful! Truly heirloom quality and reasonably priced. A great attention to detail is involved in making every piece. We now own several pieces. My children will be fighting over them one day! This is a must see place!

The craftsmanship is superb. Our ten year old cherry furniture (dining room and living room complete, plus a special fly-tying desk) keeps looking better each year. And a special shout out to the White Glove team. Making sure the beautiful craftsmanship makes is safely from the shop to your home can’t be over rated!

If I had a million dollars, this is where I would purchase everything to outfit my mansion. Alas, I don't so I can't. Still, the craftsmanship and quality of the furniture (and accessories) sold at Hardwood Artisans stores is as good as it gets. Each piece is individually hand-crafted by one of the woodworkers employed by Hardwood Artisans. They're each unique and beautiful. The pieces, not the woodworkers. Althoooough... What's so nice about the Woodbridge location is that in addition to the showroom it also houses a wood shop, where you can see the craftsmen at work. It's fascinating to watch them at their art, turning on lathes and carving the pieces to sell at HA locations (there are 4 in VA). Also cool about the Woodbridge location are the public events they hold every few months in the showroom/workroom. They invite local woodturners and woodworkers to demo their craft throughout the day, give tours of the woodshop, serve refreshments (including wine tastings), and offer discounted prices on their beautiful furniture. It's actually fun. No, really. I hold a star back simply because the prices prohibit HA from being an everyday, go-to furniture store...unless you're Steve Jobs.

In a world where almost all furniture and decorating accessories are made overseas, its wonderful to find artisans who do all of their great work locally. The furniture and accessories that Hardwood Artisans offers are not inexpensive BUT their prices are quite reasonable when you consider the high quality of what you get for your money. Our first purchase from Hardwood Artisans was a complete bedroom suite. We were absolutely overjoyed the first time we saw it. We followed up a few months later with a small table for a hallway. Again, we were exceptionally pleased. The styles that they offered fit perfectly with our tastes and the workmanship was absolutely wonderful. (My grandfather was an old-time cabinetmaker. He sought perfection every time he joined two pieces of wood together. I see the same perfection in the furniture made by Hardwood Artisans.) The folks at Hardwood Artisans are exceptionally easy to work with. They make the ordering process easy -- whether you're sitting with them in the shop or communicating with them from across the country -- and they are very accommodating on scheduling delivery. We even had our most recent piece -- the small table -- shipped from Woodbridge to western North Carolina. They kept us informed about what was happening with our order throughout the process. When it came time to ship it to us, the table was packed so well that it arrived as if we had hand-carried it, personally, from the shop to our doorstep. I can't say enough good things about Hardwood Artisans. If we need any more pieces of furniture, this will be one of the first places we check out before buying.
