“This review is for passport services only. I visited the Lorton post office to apply for a passport. I arrived on time for my appointment, but the photo equipment was broken (which happens), so I had to go somewhere nearby to get my photos. That did not otherwise result in any delay in my application review and the solution was easy, so I didn't deduct any stars for that. It might be a problem for those trying to apply for a passport during walk-in hours, so I'd recommend coming with photos in hand just in case.
The postal worker was professional and patient and took great care to make sure the application and supporting documents were all present and correct. The worker clearly had had a lot of experience with the passport process and knew what to do to make sure the application made it through the State Department smoothly. I wouldn't hesitate to go to this location for passport assistance again.”
“This is not a full-service post office. It's a contract location operated by the Ace Hardware employees. Good for mailing out packages but not a place for passports or other postal services (like money orders).”

“Went in for help with a passport application and the staff was incredibly helpful. They let me know the photos I had from cvs were no good and took new pictures for me and helped me fill out the form even though I didn’t have an appointment. I’ve never had a bad experience at this location and the staff has always been amazing.”
“This is my favorite post office. Its small but the wait is usually next to nothing. The staff remembers you by name. Its clean, and the post master is very nice and on top of whats going on. They also adhere to the 2 people in the lobby at a time and masks are required.”
“One of the best Post Offices I’ve been to. It might be because it’s on a Military Installation. The Post Master (Mrs. Alicia) runs a “tight ship”. All staff has consistently been courteous and helpful. Over the last year a lot of their retail staff have since changed which is why I am giving 5 Stars!!!”
“I had a lot of stuff to send (8 boxes total and 3 were heavy dive tanks). Elenor and Judy were fantastic and laughed and made it fun, even when the printer jammed (repeatedly). The location was so easy to get to, close parking and easy access to the counter. I drove out of my way (from Arlington), just to use this location, and I will do so again!! Great job ladies !!!”
“The service was fine, I like the self service kiosks, I wish all branches had them. My only complaints are that it's filthy, & the supplies need to be restocked in the lobby. The doors in particular look like they've never been cleaned. Standing in line for forms is a waste of everyone's time.”
“I don’t know why this office gets low ratings. The representatives are friendly and I often have thoughtful conversations with them. The lines move fast. I have brought in large and often times heavy boxes to mail and their attitudes are so not change while handling these boxes. I always choose 12 day ground and the boxes usually arrive earlier. Five-star Service.”
