The funnel cakes here are DELICIOUS, i loved them, all of the toppings. Not a lot of people go here so i strongly recommend getting one at the park!

Hmm, I don't even know where to start. I grew up here, all the employees I've seen grow old and eventually move onto bigger and better things. I've see the rides rust, get taken down, and eventually replaced. I have gotten season passes for 5 years and go as much as possible. I even worked there, that's how much I love this place. It's truly the Disneyland of the east coast.

Visited 10/17 When there yesterday for a company family funday as a PFG employee. The food at the picnic pavilion was pretty good. The lines throughout most of the day was also not too bad. Of course, once the Halloween stuff began, I knew that's when more people would show up. My only complaints were that the yellow jackets inside the picnic pavilion and in other various locations were a bit much. I also found it quite ridiculous to charge so much for the Fast Lane passes and then want to charge people again for line passes for the nighttime stuff.

(Pre-Pandemic Review) I can't believe I haven't reviewed this previously, but I visited Kings Dominion with a few friends in September 2018 and had a really great time! We were there from around noon until 10:00 p.m. We took full advantage of all the rides and also had a great time at the haunted houses (since we visited in late September, those were open, since it was Halloween season). The park wasn't too crowded when we first got there, so we didn't have to wait too long for the rides. The park got considerably more crowded as the afternoon went on, and definitely more crowded by the time the haunted houses were open after 6:00 p.m. (we stood in line for a few, but the lines went fairly quickly). The rides are high-thrill rides and you have to lock up your personal items in lockers, but lockers were fairly widely available (outside of each ride that required them). We went on the following rides: o Wind Seeker o Intimidator o Dominator o Anaconda o Log Ride o Avalanche o Sky Flyer We ate lunch at the Border Cafe and it was pretty good Tex-Mex. We also got wine and beer toward the front of the park at night. I like that they allow open alcoholic containers after dark. Definitely made the haunted houses a bit more fun :D All in all, I had a great time at Kings Dominion! It was a really magical day and lives in my memory as such. That was my first time visiting, and I have not visited since, but I hope to in the future. The park is located in Doswell, VA, which is within an hour or so from Virginia Beach / Williamsburg and about 1.5 hours south of Washington, D.C.

They've got more roller coasters in almost any park I've ever been to in the world I've been going here for 40 years and I will never get tired of it

I accidentally removed my previous review as there was a first review on just Intimidator 305. I got to spend a day and a half at the park. I was planning on going for a 3rd day, however, I did not realize that I was near Busch Gardens and there were some folks there that recommended me to go there so since I was on vacation and I did what I could have done at the park that I wanted like ride Intimidator 305 many times and it did not help that most of the rides did close due to the run. Before entering the park, Snoopy did come out and I took a picture with them and listen to the national anhem before the park opens. Unfortunately, there were people booing which was sad and yelling when the song was singing. Besides that I had a good time here. The layout is very similar to Kings Island as it was the Effiel Tower out in front as it was owned by Paramount before. Here are the rides I would definitely recommended riding 1. Intimidator 305 - most intense ride I have been on. I always grey out after the first drop, but fun, one of my top coasters. There is a separate review on yelp 2. Twisted Timbers - very fun ride, but the line was long as they were running 1 train 3. Avalanche - Bob sled ride - line might go slow 4. Dominator - floorless roller coaster 5. White water canyon - your shoes will get wet as I rode it at night when no one was on 6. Log ride - I got multiple rides off of this The rides I thought were okay 1. Racer 75 2. Backlot stunt coaster 3. Drop Tower very similar to Kings island 4. Windseeker - always like the view of the park Rides I really dislaked 1. Anaconda - old arrow coaster that head bangs 2. Apple zapple They had a peanuts area which was fun to go on. The characters were inside the shop as it was raining. But I always feel at peace walking there. There were no shows this time around as it was raining. There was nothing unique about the food as I had the burgers and it was the same across most of the cedar fair chains and I did have Panda Express. Overall it was a fun park to visit.

I wanted to fall in Love with Winterfest. I wanted to take a ton of pictures and make magical memories under the enchanting lights but.... I didnt. KD's Winterfest has disappointed me for two years in a row. The biggest contributing factor to my disappointment is the lack of lights, it just does not feel festive enough. If I'm paying money to enjoy a wintery holiday experience the park needs to be lit up with lights Everywhere!! My neighbors house has more lights on his property than KD does at Winterfest!! Also there weren't very many shows, or carolers or much of anything. I'm rooting for KD to up their Winterfest game and become the place to be during the holidays. Hopefully their planning team will stop skimping on the lights in the years to come.

If I could give them ZERO star, I would. I hate to say this, but I've given this park numerous tried before judging it, because I am afraid I'm being unfair to them. But tonight, I made my mind about them. THEY SUCK! First, Their restaurants, (especially the one close to Twisted Timbers) Suck! Their employees seems to be hating their time being here. I mean... I get it if they're busy or what, but they rarely have customers inside. You'll get frowning faces. They also makes sure that you'd feel that they didn't like that YOU ORDERED A MILKSHAKE because they have to do extra work. Second, TWISTED TIMBERS. I understand that they are putting safety first, but why aren't they allowing Guests that has glasses to put their glasses into their ZIPPERED JACKETS. They wanted you to put ALL of your stuff on a SMALL pouch on the seats! IT EVEN BARELY FIT YOUR PHONE! HOW ABOUT THE FRAGILE GLASSES!!?! I asked the attendant that we tried it before and the glasses bent. So we explained that the jacket Is secured enough. But the attendant turned very rude and humiliating! Geez! P.S I HAVE WORKED on a Theme park before, so I know how it feels...

Oh what fun! You can walk and enjoy the entertainment and the amazing festive atmosphere during the holiday season. We got a great military discount but you can get discounts buying online. The vendors were not expensive. We bought gloves because we were cold and they were very cheap. The cast there were all friendly and welcomed photos. I could visit over and over just for the atmosphere. They even had fire pits to keep warm. Amazing!

11/8/19 I never really followed Dale Earnhardt or what he did for NASCAR, but I certainly knew the name. When I heard of King's Dominion naming a ride after him, I knew this was going to be HUGE. This ride wasn't going to be some timid ride like the Scooby Doo Rollercoaster and after riding it, I can tell you it lives up to the hype. The day I traveled to King's Dominion, I had bought my season's pass and had gotten the fast pass too. My wife and I were excited to try out The Intimidator. Apparently me and many others wanted to try it out too. The lines went all the way to where Volcano The Blast Coaster was located. A ride I have written a review on as well. Because my wife and I got there early, we did not get the line that went towards Volcano The Blast Coaster. The line was long for Israel, but there were things to see as we waited. Believe it or not, the normal line was quicker than the fast pass lane. Luckily for us, the first time around we went in the normal line and waited a little longer to ride the back....NO!,...I am mistaken,...I did that the second time. On this ride compared to others, there isn't the time it takes to be lifted to the top of the is no joke. Once the ride starts you move forwards yo the hill. In less than 60 second your at the top of the hill which is 232 feet tall. The speed of this monster 90 MPH. During the ride, it won't feel like a 3.55 minutes ride. Not only iui s this ride fast, there are some really sharp turns that might be off putting to some riders. YOU WILL WANT TO REMOVE ANY LOOSE FITTING MATERIAL ON YOU. IF YOU DO NOT, YOU WILL LOSE IT ON THIS RIDE. I said the this is a 3.55 minute ride. Most of the time on this ride will be after the ride slows down on the hill at the end of the ride. Believe me the slow down hill is needed for this ride. This right is the second to ever make my eyes teary from the wind hitting your face. To me, this is a class 6 high thrill putting Volcano The Blast Coaster at a level 5. I think Dale Earnhardt and his son would be proud of this ride. Just imagine if this ride were backwards:)

One of the most delicious funnel cakes I have ever had. portions were massive and more than enough to share with three people when you added topping and ice cream.

This is the third year that my family and friends have gone to Kings Dominion Haunted Hollween night. The weather was perfect so the lines were long. This is the best place to have this experience, however, if you are not patient, don't come. Lines are anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 1/2 hours, especially for the scary stuff. However it's so much fun to walk around and experience the scares and regular rides that are open.

Easy choice for a full day of fun. Enough rides and activities for everyone to enjoy. Went on a Sunday and lines were either minimal or non-existent which was great. A total buzz kill waiting on long lines especially in the summer heat. I'm sure a Saturday would be a bit different, but either way, can't imagine too long of a line. They offer package deals for food passes, which I definitely recommend, you'll get your money's worth with 2 or more meals (roughly $15 a meal here, pass is aprox $30 per person, 90 min window per meal). Rides are more than enough to make you sick til you need to throw up everything that you ate from the food pass, so if you're a heavy ride enthusiast, maybe skip on the food pass. Overall the food was good and didn't have a disappointing meal, the rides were what you'd expect giving you tons of queezy feels, it's a blast that you won't regret. Stay fat mother suckers

Caution... think twice about visiting on hot Summer days! I have not visited KD in years, but my family decided to change that... we all took a trip to KD on what seemed like the hottest day of the SUMMER! We already had plans to attend on this day, so I guess backing out was not an option. Luckily my babe reserved a bay for us in the water park. This was the best idea ever!! We spent most of the day at the water park. While we did venture outside the water park, the sun was super draining. I wasn't feeling my best, therefore, I did not ride any rides. My family rode at least three rides and after every ride complained about being so hot. Needless to say, if temperatures are ridiculously high do not visit... at least wait until the sun goes down. All in all, everyone had a good time. I think the best part about the park is the water park. Have fun and enjoy life... oh and bring lots of cash if you plan on eating or drinking inside the park.
