Went to this quaint little Post Office this morning. - I used to frequent the 1 in Ashland until I found out they actually had one in Doswell, VA ((Thank, God ?)). To say that I was relieved that I had found an alternative was an understatement. I dreaded my visits to the post office in Ashland so much! But my experience in Doswell today was very pleasant! I very much regret that I didn't get the name of the woman who took care of my certified mailing requests bc I was going to mention it here. She was so sweet and genuinely enjoyed her job it seemed. She mentioned she'd been @ that office for 20+ yrs & they're lucky to have her. Businesses need more like her. :o) I'll be going to this Post office from now on. Doswell and Ashland offices are like Night ?& Day ?Anyway....... Heads Upp! This Post Office is very smaallI.

I was in town for Turkey Day and staying at a local hotel and needed to mail my whole bright orange suitcase. The airlines Spirit was trying to charge me 71$ for a small suitcase to be checked in. I went to the post office and mailed it for 40$. I arrived back to Florida on a Saturday my suitcase was at my door Sunday morning. The gentleman helping me was very helpful & courteous thanks man! It made it here!

Another miniature post office in Doswell VA, which rests next door to The Old Doswell Store, (rustic country store/deli/ bakery/local fruit stand.) This post office definitely has seen "letter" days! It needs the floors and rugs scrubbed! It was pretty grungy in there. They did have shipping supplies stocked and a small greeting card stand, which was a plus. You get that small hometown greeting here, and the locals are remembered by name. One good thing about these little out of the postal stores, seldom are there long lines! Hours in photos, no passport service, or self service, but if just need to mail a package or purchase stamps, this tiny post office gets the job done.

Overnight shipping means overnight shipping. If you tell someone their very important package will arrive by Thursday at 3pm but they don't receive it until Friday at nearly 4:30pm after they no longer can use said package, it can be very frustrating. In short, the next time I want fast delivery I will definitely be using a different source.
