My daughter started at 18 months and now at almost 3 years old has grown in horse riding tremendously. Yvonne knows how to guide children at each age and stage of their life. This program has allowed my daughter to experiment with her independence, while learning responsibility. Very family oriented and friendly. Its been a blessing riding here with such a compassionate and patient teacher.

Yvonne is an amazing instructor. She provides quality horsemanship instruction for children young and older in age. Yvonne is very committed to providing unique lessons tailored to the individual students and possesses great insight in both the sport and connecting it holistically to life skills. My daughter, at age 3, loves both the horseback riding lessons and the experience of learning how to care for horses. The lessons were a game changer for my daughter in attitude, motivation, and self confidence. It's heaven for a child that wishes to become an equestrian.

Yvonne is amazing with my daughter who doesn't do well with many people and has difficulty with classes as a whole. She LOVES classes here and can't wait until the next and the next. These are comprehensive riding and horsemanship classes and you can't do better. Hundred percent would recommend.

My 3 year old daughter looks forward to her lesson all week! We are so thankful to have found THRS! Ms. Yvonne is amazing with kids and THRS is such a fun place to go - she never wants to leave!!

My daughter is now 17 and just recently returned t0 Thousand Hills riding stable’s after a break from riding. (She began when she was in elementary school) Her love for riding and her knowledge of horses is directly reflective of the care, passion and professionalism of owner Yvonne. You will not find the quality of teaching both of riding and how to care for horses anywhere else! We highly recommend!

Great barn for children as young as 2 years old, learning to ride! Wonderful instruction, friendships and good family fun. Teaches responsibility, how to care for horses, horsemanship, and great riding skills. Highly recommend!

Thousand Hills is completely geared towards kids! It’s just a fun place to be and she makes every step hands on, even for the littlest riders.

This is our third year With Yvonne and the THRS family. My daughter has grown up around her horses and feels very at home at the barn. We have since relocated to Leesburg and continue the drive even though we have several stables within miles for several reasons:
Yvonne knows her ponies, teaches true horsemanship, allows showing opportunities, knows how to work with young kids, has various payment options and does her best to be flexible with schedules. Most recently we’ve been impressed with the immediate action taken with Covid-19 procedures. If you’re looking for a reliable and friendly stable, Thousand Hills is a great place to start your lessons or continue on. Thanks to all of you I have a very happy, horse loving little girl. We look forward to watching her skills progress in the coming years.

We love Thousand Hills! I am amazed at how much my daughter has learned in her time with Yvonne, and more importantly, how her sense of confidence has grown- not just in riding but in all aspects of her life. We can not recommend them highly enough!

I cannot recommend this farm enough for young children. Ms Yvonne is fantastic with her pee-wee riders. She specializes in young kids 2-6 and has the BEST ponies and farm to learn horsemanship. My daughter just turned 4 and has been riding here for about 10 months. She loves her lessons and the ponies. She has even gone to shows too (and won lots of ribbons!)!

Thousand Hills has become like another home, we love it here! This is a family-friendly stable like no other, and it has been a wonderful experience, for all the kids. We highly recommend Thousand Hills Riding Stables!

My oldest daughter who is 7 loves being at the stable. Yvonne is so patient with her...lord knows 7 year olds can be spacey! I would highly recommend Ms. Yvonne and thousand hills riding stable for all your little ones riding desires! P.s. super laid back environment will make you feel right at home.

THRS is absolutely fantastic! It's a family-run place to the core, and you'll never find a kinder group of people. Ms. Yvonne is a wonderful teacher for all ages and levels, as well as being a great person. Anyone will feel at home here, from the smallest of children to the more advanced rider. I would recommend THRS to anyone!
