This place is absolutely gorgeous! We went for a party this weekend and met Yianni the owner. He put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this property and it shows. He also gave us a tour which was so nice of him since it was so late. It is definitely a must see. I was there in the evening so it was dark, but I am looking forward to visiting during the day.

Blue Valley's setting high on a hill overlooking its vineyards and surroundings is hard to match. The venue hosting the tasting operation reminds one of an estate. Once inside visitors find three large rooms filled with weekend revelers and a live musician. The wine flights are attended by congenial staff. Food options include lite sharable bites, bread hummus, olives. The star of this experience is being with a large group. The food was tasty. The wine was not to our taste. The venue is suitable for a wedding or large social affair. Volume levels were high. The views were stunning.

The place is very nice and the scenery is absolutely gorgeous. However, of the five of us that did the wine sampling only one person like two of the five or six wines that she tried. Great place to throw a private party, but I would not partake in the wine. The baguette with olive oil and spices was 100% perfect. The lady that waited on us was very very nice and knowledgeable.

My friends and I, enjoyed every minute of this winery, from the tour and delicious wine tasting, the vibes and ofc the beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The owner John(Yianni) did the tour, and was informative and fun. We had a blast!

Great wine selection and beautiful views! I went because of the cab franc and it didn't disappoint. Amazing service! Beautiful location and structure. Great place for a wedding. I'm definitely coming back!!!

I was in town for the Fourth of July holiday weekend and wanted a different atmosphere aside from the busy DC area. I discovered Blue Valley and knew I had to pay them a visit. With only an hour drive from DC, this looked like the perfect winery to visit during my stay. They had a spacious parking lot and loved how it was so close to the entrance. The interior itself is very spacious with two bar area to order from and ample seating areas. As it was hot and muggy, we didn't get a chance to sip our wines on their outdoor patio but can attest the view was breathtaking. They have about two outdoor areas to select from and depending on your party group, you may choose one over the other. In regards to their wines, they had a great selection and we made sure to take advantage of their whites plus rose wines too. I really enjoyed their Chardonnay and their delicious selections of rose.Along with our wines, we made sure to try their signature herb bread that was too good to pass up and their Gouda too. Both selections were amazing and highly recommend it.We had an overall great experience and looking forward to returning.

We visited this winery on July 3rd. It is dog friendly inside and outside, which was greatly needed due to the hot and humid July temps! The wine was yummy but the scenery was phenomenal!

Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery was the PERFECT location for our 5/20/2023 wedding. The scenery was stunning! Even though it rained right before our ceremony, the indoor rain plan space was still gorgeous and so intimate and romantic. Our guests keep commenting on how beautiful the venue was. The rain actually made it even more stunning. Ken (venue coordinator) was also so wonderful in accommodating our requests and working with our wedding planner to make sure our day ran smoothly. Blue Valley will always hold a special place in our hearts and we cannot imagine a more perfect wedding day!

We each did a 5 wine flight tasting; some had an all-red flight, some a mixed flight of red and whites. The wines are served in plastic cups. We were each given one wine glass for the tasting experience. We were told each of our individual pour descriptions ("hints of vanilla" or "fruity") before taking our flights to enjoy at a table outside. Since we didn't have water to rinse our glass between each wine pour, the other four wine descriptions didn't matter after the first wine pour. Each subsequent pour takes on the taste of the previous wine. We didn't feel the tasting was special, as even our hotel bar serves each new drink in a fresh glass. I think it's more of a money-maker for the $20 per flight (basically 5 wine shots, not 5 glasses of wine) served in the same wine glass.

The winery offers stunning views and serves decent wine, but unfortunately, the service was poor. Although I arrived 30 minutes before closing time, the staff's behavior was unacceptable. My group was constantly reminded that they were closing soon (WE GOT IT THE FIRST TIME) and we even wrapped up before closing. They were constant pressuring us to finish quickly (took glasses away for plastic cups etc.) and as we were leaving, we were rudely told that they cannot leave until we left the premises, even though we were already in our cars. This type of behavior is not acceptable, especially from employees. While I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, I cannot recommend this winery to others based on this experience. If you do choose to visit, I suggest going early, taking your photos, and leaving. There are other wineries in the area with better wine and more respectful service.

I am extremely impressed with Blue Valley Vineyard - it is an absolutely stunning facility! They have several special occasion areas - each unique and beautiful. The views are awesome and the large parking area is safe and convenient. It is a bonus that special arrangements may be made for your favorite beverages, but their award winning wines and trays were outstanding.

This is a beautiful winery with lots of seating indoor and outdoor and the employees are so nice! On January 28, we came in for my friends 40th birthday and had zero issues being walk-ins and got a table right away without any attitude (the winery before this stop gave us trouble and they were not even busy) so you were a breath of fresh air! Thank you ?

The grounds and winery are beautiful, but the wine is among the absolute worst we have tried in VA! Plus the price ($17) for a tasting was ridiculous. Don't waste your time or hard earned money at Blue Valley. If you are in the neighborhood try Barrel Oak, which is right around the corner. The wines are quite good and the cost is much lower than Blue Valley. And if you don't mind driving another 10 minutes or so try Aspendale as well - the wines are great and the prices are very reasonable!

Great place to spend a weekend afternoon. The rosés were light and refreshing for a hot summer afternoon. Incredible views. Friends also ordered appetizers. The bread and mozzarella were lovely. The Gouda didn’t come with crackers or bread which seemed a little odd. Nonetheless, I recommend a visit to Blue Valley.
