I have been a patient of Dr. Shroff's for over 10 years. He is the most caring, hardworking and passionate doctor I have ever seen. I came to him after years of pain. He ran tests and knew what was wrong and how to treat it. It is a rare disease so I was so happy to have answers. I have referred so many people to him because he is so good. Thank you Dr. Shroff and your staff for all your hard work. BTW, Jill in referrals is amazing.

I was in so much pain, and no one seemed to solve the problem or tried to help, until I came to Spectrum Medical. I was referred to Dr. Sharukh Shroff, which is my Rheumatologist. What a blessing he has been to me. He is helping me to resolve my pain. He's the most caring and concerned doctor that I've had, as far as my severity of pain I have been experiencing. If something doesn't work for my pain, , he will try something different until the my pain issue is resolved. Thank you Dr. Shroff for all that you do for your patients, making our daily life much easier, without a lot of pain. You are the best!!

Have 4 of my doctors at this facility. Delighted with all of their services in one building. Have had a great relationship with the staff and doctors. Very satisfied with their physical therapy department and am able to do my blood work there as well. The only thing I have a problem with is parking and getting in and out of my vehicle as I am in a wheelchair. Very difficult on a hill. Whoever thought of that idea obviously has two good legs. All and all I'm very satisfied with Spectrum Medical.

Dr. Mahoney seems wildly unprofessional, bordering on cruel. My mother visited Dr. Mahoney after what has been described as her "shattering" her shoulder. She waited multiple weeks with a complete inability to use one arm that is constantly in pain, hoping to find out just how shattered her shoulder was, let alone schedule a surgery. After disappointing her with yet another failure to schedule any hint of relief, she understandably asked if he could do anything to make this whole process less arduous, given the whole "can't use one arm" thing, mixed with numerous office visits that yield no results. This Healthcare Professional in-name-only proceeded to condescendingly and snidely spoke down unto her that they "can't" operate on her because she is "too big," and when she (again, very understandably) asked what he suggested, he had the gall to suggest she just live with it and "see how it ends up," despite he himself admitting that she will likely not be able to use her arm again without surgery. He also, in response to my mother uhh -checks notes- asking her doctor questions about her condition, retorted to my father about how he must not be able to "get a word in edgewise". Professional. Caring. A shining example of the Hippocratic Oath in action. For some context, my mother is obese, yes. But Ill say she is hundreds of pounds too light to qualify to be on TLC's My 600 pound life, a show whose prize is, gasp, deeply invasive surgery. So, it seems like the brave new world we live in in 2023 somehow manages to operate on the fat. Maybe it's a skill issue on the part of Dr. Mahoney that could explain his self-admitted professional inadequacy, rather than scientific impossibility.Even for the healthcare profession, which is known for its dehumanization of the overweight, I am astonished by this complete lack of humanity Dr. Mahoney exhibited, a man entrusted to take care of her. I assume his point is "well, lose weight then so that I may deign you worthy of getting functional use of all 4 limbs."With 3 limbs, I wonder, Doctor Mahoney, how are you planning she do that that will sate your sadistic demands? Will she start running, on the arthritic knees that fail to lift her feet enough to clear the ground which caused her to trip and fall on her shoulder in the first place? Or is your hope that with only one arm, she will be unable to feed herself fast enough to avoid starvation?I would recommend that others seeking orthapedic care find it elsewhere, because you won't find care in this man unless he feels like it. And even then, it sounds like he himself admits that he lacks the expertise that is found in any modern doctor worth their salt.

Spectrum Medical Pain Management Clinic has prescribed the best my pain medications available. I have really gotten my life back! Thanks again for the compassion and help from Dr. Ruberte Thiele in prescribing all the pain medications that other doctors would not prescribe.

Worse service ever!!!! They have no respect for your time. I had an 8:30 am appointment and ended up leaving at 10:15 because I still hadn’t seen a doctor. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!!

Everyone was absolutely phenomenal. From the first phone call to schedule an appointment to the final visit to have the cast removed- we could not have had a better experience! Dr. Hermann, Nurse Amos, Brandon, Radiology, and the Front office staff were all so caring and professional. I truly appreciate every single person we encountered. Danville is lucky to have this great office! You made taking care of a 2 year old patient look so easy! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

I wish I could give this quack, Dr. Fraifield, zero stars. I brought all my MRI reports annually dating back to 2006, along with a recent cervical spine MRI (film and report). I meticulously described my neck (cervical spine), back (thoracic spine), and low back (lumbar spine) pain on the diagram of the outline of a body notating the type of pain and where it shoots, etc., on the new patient forms. Dr. Fraifield took approximately 45 minutes dictating to his computer his findings of the cervical spine MRI films I had recently had performed. Finally, he examined me, and not just my neck, but my entire spine while I was standing. After he finished he said, "I'll have to refer you to Duke University, or the University of Virginia in Charleston because I don't handle complicated cases such as your's anymore." In my head I was screaming angry, but I calmly asked a few questions and left. I did inform my insurance company about this quack, because he should have realized before coming in to meet me, that my situation was beyond what he preferred to do. No, he wastes an hour of my time combing over the recent cervical spine MRI films, missing the C6 neural foraminal narrowing which is causing me excruciating pain radiating to my head and left shoulder, only to say he doesn't accept complicated cases like mine anymore. He knew that from the paperwork, and should have been professional enough at the get go to say so, and not waste my time. I am sure he was in some way attempting to provoke me because I had divulged to his scheduler that I am on to these pain management specialists here in Virginia. They don't get rich off seeing patients once a month to write a script, but they make anywhere from $2,500 to $3,500 for injections done under fluoroscopy, such as ablations. They perform 3 trial injections (nerve blocks), then if relief from those is experienced, then the final procedure to burn the nerve. Four times $2,500 per procedure is $10,000 earned in 8 weeks! I don't think ablations are a good idea. God gave me those nerves to let me know I have an injury. Without those nerves I could injure myself more, maybe even seriously. Dr. Fraifield did mention that he didn't like the way I spoke to his 'girl'. I spoke very gently, but emphatically about how passionate I am about doctors that only see dollars in their patients, and not what's best for the patient. I was in pain management down in Florida for 14 years and prescribed opiates. Not once did I ever take more medication other than the directions prescribed on the label. To date not one doctor here in Virginia has requested my medical records from any of my doctors in Florida. I even had my insurance company contact my primary care physician's office with me on the line, and he still didn't request them. I tell these greedy Virginia doctors that I'm not stupid. I know that one will stop breathing if one takes too many opiates. Furthermore, if you take more than is prescribed, one will run out of meds, and then suffer withdrawal symptoms and pain until the next appointment. I'm smart enough to know better than to take medication contrary to the prescribed directions. Anyone who does not adhere to the doctor's prescribed directions, is playing Russian Roulette with their lives
