I'm glad they replied so you can read between the lines of the type of ppl you'd have to deal with here. Unprofessional and now dishonest.
*UPDATE*
After writing the review, as expected, the company reached out. Also as expected, we were asked to "bring the car back in to look over their work because they guarantee it." Like I mentioned, INCONVENIENCING THE CUSTOMER to return for guaranteed work is NOT sufficient anymore. If it is guaranteed, do it right the first time. They don't account or reimburse for the time you have to leave work early or miss events while they're looking over their guaranteed work. I asked my husband the first day to take it back because it wasn't even quiet and still had a cough sound when starting it up to be clear!
My second issue is the LIES mechanics are able to tell because they believe its a skill few posses. Mechanics know we are at their mercy. I was told its a "red flag & the catalytic convertor exhaust leaks have nothing to do with an engine smoking. typically its an oil burn issue or coolant hahahaha, nothing to do with exhaust." YES THE MECHANIC LAUGHED. "But typically we have people bring their cars back and IF it is something WE did we'll handle it. But if it's another issue we didn't have anything to do with will refer you to a different shop."
Everybody I talk to says "If Scares Muffler Shop mess something up they're big on fixing it."
From a consumers POV, sounds like they're always having to fix this "guaranteed work". DOES NOT SOUND LIKE A PLACE I WANT TO GO BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO KEEP RETURNING TO A SHOP; NOBODY BUT THE CUSTOMER suffers from poor labor. As consumers we are tired of 40% off NEXT time or just come back in. NO! reimburse for bad work.
He said he think it's bad business to get on google and not talk directly. But I KNEW THAT THEY WERE GOING TO LIE AND NOT TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY and try to get more money for them or elsewhere! I DON'T WANT ANYMORE WORK DONE FROM A PLACE THAT DESTROYED MY CAR. My car is COMPLETELY DONE NOW.
My cars only problem was how loud it was. I KNOW something was damaged while they were repairing the exhaust system because if they're were leaks, he said he would have seen them while repairing and showed him.
Don't be sorry like me, just go elsewhere. He did something, as he knew EXACTLY what number to call even though he works on 150 cars a week he says. My name and info wasn't in their system, my husbands is. HE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT HE DID.

I am very disappointed with the muffler services from this location. It was highly recommended and the reviews appeared to agree, however, I believe it’s out of lack of options. (Upon finding a better shop I will update for future customers looking)
My husband took my car to get work done, so I cannot attest to their customer service.
What I can state is that after 2 weeks of driving, my check engine light came on and new noises occur when starting the car. 3 weeks later the car is smoking terrible!
We called and I will say they said bring it in and they will “take a look because they guarantee their work” however, I’ve already paid over $650 dollars for this guaranteed work. And surely enough it broke down before I could take it back. It’s inconvenient and nobody gives discounts or money back for poor work AND we all know how this goes: they’ll never admit it was their service and tack on a new service that requires to be fixed and more money in their pockets.
Now my car is broke down. I have to pay for towing. A new mechanic (which I will update this review so nobody else has to go through this). AND rent a car.

Roger solved a major problem with the manifold exhaust overheating that several garages could not fix. He also identified an additional engine issue and a local garage to fix it. As a result my Chevy 3500 is in great condition. I could not be happier.Service: Exhaust

I would like to thank Roger and Amanda at Scarce Muffler Shop for the incredible professional service they provided to me today when replacing my muffler that was completely shot. Sounds like I'm driving a Cadillac instead of a tank with a machine gun attached. I love being able to actually hear the radio. Thanks a million Roger you're the best. If you need a muffler don't waste your time going anywhere else, go to Scarce and get it done right ?.

Very, very, very clean shop. They are so nice and caring. The owner even took the time to explain what was done and the sensitivity of my GMC. They have my business hands down. Best experience ever.
