I stopped going to Home Depot several years ago because there was always a pattern whenever I would visit. 1. There were always groups of 2 to 3 employees standing around talking to each other. 2. None of them would look at you or ask if you needed help. 3. The people at the customer service desk (which includes picking up will-call orders) were always really rude. Lo and behold, the one item I needed, Lowe's did not have but Home Depot did so I ordered it online for pickup the same day. When I arrived to get my order, I went in and went right to the customer service counter where the pickup window was. There was a lady sitting at the window doing something on a computer. She looked up at me, we made eye contact, and she looked back down at her computer screen. I stood there for about 10 seconds while she only looked at her computer screen while listening to a sports broadcast and did not acknowledge me. Try counting out ten seconds as you stand in front of someone and they pretend you do not exist - that is a long time. It was pretty obvious she was not going to initiate anything so I said (verbatim) "Excuse me, I'm here to pick up my order." She did not even look at me, she just looked over to her right (my left) and shouted to another lady that I needed to pick up an order. The other lady asked if she could help me so I walked over to her and told her I needed to pick up my order. She asked for the information (order number and my ID) and found my order. OK, so this is the kicker. She then walks over to get my order and the lady who wouldn't acknowledge me got up and got my order with her and the two of them had a nice conversation and laughed while doing it. So, you're telling me that first woman was not glued to the chair and she COULD be cordial? whodu thunkit! Anyway, I gook my things and left, disgusted that they were still as rude as ever and annoyed that I had to even go there to get something. D- (not an F because they had the thing I wanted).

Just bought 15 sheets of paneling and all that helped was extremely very nice....I will definitely be doing ALL MY BUSINESS THERE

Everyone at this store in Danville was cheerful, capable, and helpful. Appreciated it when the hardware manager took it upon himself to solve a problem for me very efficiently and neatly. Thank you!

Horrible customer service in appliances department. Went there today to buy microwave and dishwasher. The lady I talked to for information was all the time on the phone and did not bothered to come and show us any models or give us any details.

Customer service went from so-so to terrible. The last two times I have gone there the people that I tried to get to help me were rude and did not want to give even a little customer service. No wonder the parking lot is always empty. The other thing I find hard to believe is that in the middle of a pandemic I only saw one employee wearing a mask. That just shows me how little Home Depot cares about their customers and their employees.

We traveled 45 minutes to come to this store because the app said they had the items we needed in stock. We found them on the very top shelf so we asked customer service to call for assistance. No one came after 10 minutes so I asked her to call again. Again no one came-so disappointed. We will never come baCk to this particular store. Headquarters needs to do a little investigating as to why this store has such a lie rating. The store manager should be ashamed of him/herself. The parking lot was rather empty for a Home Depot. Now we know why.

Me and my family haven't been back to The Home Depot since they first opened. About a year after they first opened we decided to take a tour you may say of Home Depot. As long time Lowes customers we were expecting top notch customer service with semi good prices. Unfortunately we aere met with what seemed at the time; an empty store. We were looking at Halloween decorations and most items were out of place or sold out. Pricing items became really difficult as items were not in the right places. This was no big deal at the time as we thought we could just ask a sales associate. Again; unfortunately there were no sales associates around to ask anything. Surely someone was at the registers. Nope; it was a ghost town inside of Home Depot. Thats when my wife had enough and we just left and took our business back to Lowes. I do not know the reason for an empty store and lack of employee's but I do know that this was not a fun experience especially for a newcomer to The Home Depot. This is my family's first and only experience at The Home Depot.

I would give this Home Depot zero stars. My husband and I went in to talk to them about a refrigerator. We were told by the appliance person that they only delivered to our ZIP Code on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We went to customer service to talk to them about getting a delivery on Friday and were told that the manager, Susie, would need us and appliance to talk to us about delivery issues. After waiting for 15 minutes and no one showing up we left the store. This situation has impacted our perception and opinion of Home Depot and will affect our purchasing anything from this chain in the future!

Went to HD in Danville on 12-22 TO purchase a dishwasher. The two men in the department were sitting behind the desk talking. After waiting for a while we finally got one of them to rise and help us. We picked out a dishwasher, the salesman went back and returned to say it was not in stock. We picked out another, he left and came back with the same story. Then he told us that they kept none in stock but would deliver one for an additional charge for delivery since the one we had selected was under the minimum. We told him delivery was not necessary since I had brought a truck and would just take it home. He told us they had none in stock and he could not sell the display model. Very disgusted by now, we bid him and HD adieu, went to Lowes and with absolutely no problems of any kind purchased a new dishwasher that WAS in stock. I'll know where to go next time. Jim W.

Absolutely awful customer service. We went to the garden department for landscape bricks. The girl did not know what they were, did not know what "hardscape" was, and refused to call anyone to help us. When we finally found what we wanted on our own, we could find no one to help us load them. We are not young, and it took nearly an hour for us to get the bricks onto the cart. There we two young people in the checkout "cabin" which was much cooler inside, but only the girl was checking people out. We asked for help, putting the bricks into our truck, they said no one was available. I have never been treated so poorly. I will no longer go to VA for anything. I made a special trip, lots farther from me than my local Lowe's, never again.

This store closes at 7:00 pm on Sundays, not 8:00 pm as stated here. We checked before leaving to pick up an online order and found out when we got there at 7:15.

Do not buy appliances from Home Depot they can not get the order correct after a number of tripes to store and phone calls. Nobody even manager knows what is going on with my order so confusing I do not where I stand with the order ( refrigerator and washer) am I going to get it yes or no ??? It has been paid for at least on my credit card

Do NOT use Home Depot to redo your kitchen or cabinets of any type!! They did a halfway job and have been a pain to get a hold of to have them come fix their mess! They contract the job out to the lowest bid and go with that! We are missing a cabinet door. The side paneling has huge bubbles in it. The laminate under the cabinets is not sealed properly. The siding of the cabinets are coming off! The kitchen has only been "done" for 2 weeks. It has been hellacious to get a hold of anyone to come fix the kitchen! I'm about to go crazy! Go to Lowes. They'll treat you right!
