I went in thinking I was going to have to replace my car due to its age and a failed transmission. I let them check it out and only had to replace a wheel bearing. They are through and honest. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

A wonderful experience at a stressful time. Our car broke down at the worst possible time. We just happened to cross paths with the owner, David as we sat hood-up in a parking lot. After looking at the problem, he recommended a good towing service and his shop. The shop was closed that day, but next business day I was able to call and get things going. After a day (I was expecting a longer wait) we were told what the issue was, the cost, and expected delivery of parts. A couple of days later, the parts came in early and we got our car back a day earlier than their estimate. Now our car runs better than the day we got it.
I hope to not need car service in the future, but who does?
I know when I do, I'll be taking my car here at First Choice Transmissions.

I highly recommend First Choice Transmissions for their repair services. They handled my car repair quickly and efficiently. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely be back for future repairs. My air conditioner is finally working!

I cannot say thank you enough to David and his team. I found out on Wednesday night that my tires were about to blow. Called around, then called First Choice. Tires were ordered on Thursday, and I had my ride back Friday. No one could beat the price they gave, nor the customer service I received. These guys are hands down the best, not to mention the professionalism that David shows and instills in his workers. I won’t be going anywhere else from now on. A job well done!! Definitely recommend, 10 out of 10.

David and his team rebuilt the transmission of my 1966 Fairlane. They went above and beyond my expectations, the car did not run this well when it was new! I highly recommend First Choice Transmissions!

I recently took my older Nissan truck to First Choice Transmissions because I needed to get the transmission valve body fixed. I was initially concerned about the potential costs exceeding the value of my truck, but the team at First Choice Transmissions proved those worries unfounded. Not only did they fix the part perfectly, but they also provided outstanding service throughout the entire process. The repairs were completed promptly, and the staff was incredibly transparent and trustworthy. It’s rare to find an auto repair shop that makes you feel confident and well-cared for without feeling taken advantage of. I truly believe that First Choice Transmissions is a top-notch transmission and auto repair shop. Highly recommend to anyone needing quality and reliable car care!

I needed new headlight bulbs for my truck and needed something brighter. They recommended lights and installed them for me and I have been really happy with their work. I can see so much better makes driving at night a lot better.
They also checked my transmission fluid and they did a thorough job with it. They are very professional and were able to get it done in good timing.

Recently I had my car serviced at First Choice Transmissions. I needed an oil change and tire rotation. The entire staff were friendly, courteous, on-point and professional. I highly recommend them should you need any automotive services, including transmission service and or replacement as well as many other repairs.

So first off I want to say I appreciate David & Robert for being polite & as professional as possible. I had a transmission installed on my request & unfortunately didn't work so instead of just pulling it out I took it upon myself to give them more business & went forward to do a second (which didn't work again) then bravely went along with a 3rd & it finally worked, my vehicle was there for 3 months & every job that was done I paid & left without my vehicle respectfully. When I went to pick up my car after being told it was ready I was confronted by this Old man name Darryl who had a terrible attitude & was completely disrespectful when asked if I could speak with David who refused to call him. Every time I went there he was literally doing nothing so not sure why he is present but for some reason he is able to call the shots. As a paying customer I expect to be treated with respect & I didn't receive that towards the end even after spending over 3 grand. Unfortunately I will not be recommending nor ever going back due to Darryl.

I want to give a Big Shout Out to First Choice Transmissions and Auto Repair. I've had 3 of my vehicles serviced there (some minor and some major repairs) and I'm completely 100% satisfied with all the work they've done. I've also sent several friends there and they were completely happy with the service they received. David and his staff are in a word "EXCELLENT". They are always on-point, professional, friendly and courteous. They work very hard to earn customers' business the right way and it shows! I recommend anyone who may need transmission work (manual or automatic) or any other automotive repairs done to give them an opportunity to take a look at your vehicle and diagnose the problem. I'm certain you will be pleased with their attention to detail and the Excellent Customer service you receive. They have a great new location at 135 Forestdale Drive, Danville VA
