The staff steals especially Linda, my elderly grandmother mistakenly gave her 2 $20s and when I told her what my gran gave her she insisted she didn't and it was another given to her by another customer for items. Then why wasn't it in the cash register then??The other lady working there came out the back she wasn't there when my gran paid and said my gran didn't give Linda the 2 $20s.Never going back! even though its for a cause. Also they take the best and newest items for themselves.

Don’t bother donating to this ungrateful place. Linda throws it all in the dump if it isn’t new or if she decides it has no value and threatens to prosecute anyone who donates items during non-store “donating” hours. Given that they are not open on weekends and only open Tues-Friday during professional working hours, (with donations only “accepted” before 3pm) this makes donating difficult for most working people and subsequently, they leave items in boxes at the door. For this, they are accused of “illegal dumping” by store the volunteers who claim they want to prosecute such donors. If the items are new and unused, you might as well drive them to Betty’s home on Wyndover because that’s who will take them to resell at her side gig in NJ as long as Gay doesn’t know it all came in. Linda and Betty constantly undermine Gay and it creates significant store tension that customers see and feel. I hear how much these women tout that they “give back to the community” but they seem to pick and choose which community members they give to. I have seen homeless people asking for clothing refused entry into this store by Linda (and refused clothing!) and I have seen people going through the dumpster to retrieve the “worthless” items that Linda just throws away. Sad. Just sad to witness. This is supposed to be a church charity thrift store and yet they’d refuse Jesus himself if he didn’t appear to their liking. Yeah, don’t give to this place. Let them carry a cross like the needy people going through their dumpster who they mercilessly want to prosecute or the poor man asking for a shirt who Linda locked out. What kind of church people treat others like this because those are the very churches I’d like to avoid. If Jesus comes back, I’m sure he’d come to Danville and be stoned all over again by these church congregations.

Filled with good staff and volunteers who are all working to give back to the community. Definitely a little Danville gem. (Good prices too!)

This place goes through its share of “phases,” sometimes for the better sometimes for the worse. Several truly kind church ladies took over and got the place cleaned up over the past couple of years putting it thru a good phase but unfortunately they also found the wolf in sheep’s clothing and brought on a dealer as a staff member. This type of thing brought the store down in the past so I expect it to go through another bad phase. Don’t expect to find any gems here for a while unless you befriend the wolf.

The staff was very friendly. Lots of things to see. We had to rush out because of the smell of cigarette smoke inside the building. It seemed to be coming from the back left side (restroom maybe?). Disappointing.

I really love this shop, everyone is so nice and sweet. Can find some pretty good stuff too. The only reason im rating 3 stars is when i brought home my items i found a LIVE bedbug on one of my items.
