I've always liked the vets and the staff here...although they are a bit pricey. We've boarded our dogs here too, and they've seem to love it. I have a problem, however, when you hold my pet's medication refills hostage to try to force me to come in for a visit. Just a few days prior, I had another dog in for a visit to the tune of over $400. Sorry, but I can't swing another bill like that just so you can renew a script that my dog's been taking for 2 years. Sure, they can try to put the guilt trip on me b/c I'm not bringing my 12 year old Bulldog in for his check up, but to me it's an ethical issue to on their part. For the first time in 6 years, I'm questioning if I want my pets to remain patients here.

I've always been treated with kindness and compassion when bringing my pets to Danville Family Vet. I appreciate how Dr. Smith took his time with me and answered my questions and never seemed to be in a hurry even when busy. My cats are always calm and don't seem to mind being there. I appreciate the cat only room. I recommend this practice to anyone who wants great care for their pets.

Very Uncompassionate people. Don’t love animals like they should and don’t take care of staff properly.

Turnover rate is embarrassing when it comes to employees. Will replace anyone for lower pay. Unprofessional by all means.

Not nice to their employees, turn over rate is excessive, it’s an at will state , but they will throw out a good employee once they can find one for cheaper. The people that work there care about the animals, but week to week you don’t know if the next batch will. Will not be bringing my pets to this practice

A extreme amount of workers quitting in a short span of time. Seems very sketchy and would not recommend coming here as they only have 1 official vet.

Very knowledgeable and great priced. They worked with my dog who is not all that friendly with strangers and managed to not have to muzzle him for the first time ever at the vet!

The staff here is extremely friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable, and accommodating for both people and their pets. They are responsive to emails and phone calls in a timely fashion and will do their best to get you scheduled as quickly as possible. They are a Fear Free practice and a certified Gold Cat Friendly Practice by the American Association of Feline Practitioners with their staff regularly take CEs for both organizations to give them the tools and knowledge to ensure that your pets are comfortable and treated respectfully while they are in their care.

HUGE shout out to Danville Family Vet!! I took my pups to get their updated shots and I am so pleased with the experience! I've been to two different local vets over the years - one facility for many, many visits and neither compare to the compassion and care shown today at Danville Family Vet.
One of my dogs has developed severe anxiety with vet visits and has had to be sedated and muzzled in the past due to his "aggressiveness". Dr. Reid and Kady at Danville Family Vet took so much time and care into making sure he felt comfortable and to build trust with him. Needless to say, my dog successfully had a vet visit without the use of a muzzle or sedatives, all because these ladies took extra time and care with them. This is a HUGE deal for us since vet trips have been pretty traumatizing for him (and me if I'm being honest, I hate to see my pup so scared).
If you're looking for a vet that truly cares about your animal and takes the time to make sure they are as comfortable as possible, Danville Family Vet is hands down the best!

BEST VET OFFICE IN THIS AREA. Strongly suggest taking your fur kids to this place. Ask for Katie Rohrig, DVM. 3 years ago after my pup Zeus was labeled aggressive by another vet office, Katie took time to get to know my pup and played ball and befriended him and made it a fun time to come to the vet instead of scary. NO VET, has ever done this. My dog is not aggressive, never has been just doesn’t like his nails clipped.. Katie worked her magic and now it’s no longer stressful for him or me.. she the best !!! Hands ? down !! She will be my vet as long as she practices. Clean facility and friendly staff always willing to help. Their care and compassion is top notch, Nothing less than the full 5 stars. Completely satisfied client.

Not happy with this vet,
they are to expensive to begin with and tried to schedule my cat for a unnecessary 1350.00 hernia surgery after a 350.00 spay surgery that they did. I got a second opinion from another vet, (thank God) and my cat didn't need anything. She was just swollen from inflammation post surgery and that went away in a couple days with no meds. needed. I'm very disappointed with this place and won't go back.
