Lovely stay in the heart of Damascus. The Virginia Suite was a luxurious stop for this cyclist. Such a great place to have a rest day or two on the TransAm. Thanks Ralph!

Lovely and a great value! Beautiful house, nicely landscaped with an enticing wrap-around porch populated with comfy rocking chairs. Conveniently located on Damascus' main st across from the coffee shop and just a few blocks from outfitters/shuttles. Having a hearty breakfast awaiting you a short walk down the street at the best restaurant in town is a nice touch! The host and hostess are great!

Ralph, the owner, contradicted himself & discriminated against me because I am homeless. I had called first to ask some questions. He replied via text message & informed me that my cat was approved to stay. Then once I mentioned that I was homeless, his tone changed. Later, I tried reaching him via phone call/voicemail, text message, & email, & he ignored all my messages. So, I booked my reservation. Then I asked about whether I could exchange the second breakfast advertised that comes with each room's night's stay for a lunch or dinner, & he argued that its only one breakfast per person despite how that's not what his website or his advertisement on AirBnB states. So, I dropped the issue. Then he came up with another excuse to oppose me, my cat. He then communicated to me that cats are not welcome under any circumstance when he had says prior communicated to me that my cat was "fine." So, I text messaged him a screenshot of the prior text message conversation reminding him that he had communicated that my cat was fine. I then left him a voicemail expressing that I was upset & that it seemed obvious that he did not want me staying there because I'm homeless, & that if that is the case, to just issue me a 100% refund. Then his wife, Patti, left me a voicemail calling me rude despite how they rudely ignored all my messages for days, offering me a 100% refund if I were to cancel. I know the policy of AirBnB that in this situation, the Host should cancel the reservation in order for me to receive a 100% refund but they tried to play more games with me, lying, claiming that they could not cancel my reservation. I called their bluff, & they finally cancelled my reservation. I've received no refund receipt but only a coupon for another reservation through AirBnB. The communication with this Host was horrendously contradictory & discriminatory & upsetting. Now, I have to scramble to make other arrangements. They falsely advertise two meals/breakfast per room's night's stay. All of this needs to be addressed. If they don't allow cats, then that should be stated up front transparently on their website & on the AirBnB advertisement.

Stayed there a few nights in the Virginia suite. The bed was comfortable to sleep and the room temperature was good. Water was nice and hot. Would definitely stay again.

Ralph is a great host and the rooms are well appointed, clean and very comfortable. He was very flexible with check in time and arranged for us to have breakfast at the coffee shop across the street when we told him we needed to leave earlier than breakfast is normally served. Will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights for my birthday. We also rode the Virginia Creeper Trail. We enjoyed everything about our trip. Reservations and communication were excellent. We stayed in the Virginia Suite. It was very clean and homey. Ralph and his wife are wonderful hosts. Breakfast was a block away at the Damascus Diner. They cook to order with very fresh ingredients. Be sure to make you reservation and enjoy this beautiful Bed and Breakfast.

This is one of the best Air B&B's I have stayed in. Very clean and well decorated houses. Rooms are spacious. Owner Ralph and his wife are great and very accommodating. Wrap around porch, rocking chairs, tables, and breakfast is included in the owner's restaurant (which by the way is incredible). Close to everything in town and a coffee and ice cream shop across the street.

Placing a review about this awesome inn before we even leave. We have been so impressed with this B&B. Warm welcome as we entered on Sunday. Our room is just quaint, beautiful and appropriate for three people (Maude's room). Sitting on the porch after biking the Virginia Creeper is soothing and picturesque. Ralph blew our minds with his delicious, quite filling breakfast at the Damascus Diner. We will be quite reluctant to head home tomorrow, but with a hurricane passing near our home, I suppose we had better. We will be back!

We were there to bike the Virginia Creeper Trail. This is a great location in the middle of this small town. and was only a block from his diner and the Adventure Damascus Outdoor & Bicycle Co. we used for our shuttle. The room was very nice, Ralph was wonderfully considerate and accommodating, and the included breakfast at his Damascus Diner was incredible.

This is a beautiful old home that has been completely remodeled. It retains its charm but has all the modern conveniences you need. The hosts are extremely kind and hospitable. The icing on the cake is that breakfast comes from their diner, The Damascus Diner. I had the Hiker Hash and it was the best breakfast I’ve eaten in my 47 years of living! We will certainly be back!

Stayed here the past 3 days and we definitely will be going back. Ralph and Patti are the nicest people you would ever want to meet. The house is beautiful inside and out. The room we were in was very spacious and comfortable. Our little dog, Button, also made some new friends. The breakfast at their restaurant, The Damascus Diner, is delicious! They also serve great lunch and supper, good home cooking comfort food ?If you're looking for a great B&B in and around Damascus, this is the place for you!

Just a great place to stay in Damascus, VA. Very quaint, unique, very clean B&B. The owner, Ralph, was great to work with. It is one of the best maintained and nice B&B's in Damascus. Prices are very reasonable. The breakfast(s) were awesome! No way to go away hungry. From sausage, bacon, grits, eggs, biscuits, gravy, different flavored butters, preserves, red-eye gravy, fruit, muffins, casseroles, potatoes, juice, coffee ... and the homemade breakfast fruit parfaits! Located right in the middle of Main Street. My room was very spacious, nice bathroom. It has a unique and easy to spot white picket fence around the yard w/nice landscaping, flowers that welcome you in! Nice hardwood floors inside. I highly recommend the Dragonfly!

Stayed during Trail Days 2018. Room was spacious for one person even tho there were two beds. It was also "Spotless". Towels and face cloths were big and fluffy. Room was quiet and perfectly cooled. Ralph and his family are gracious and welcoming. The breakfast part of B n B was at the Damascus Diner. A large and filling breakfast with a great amount of coffee. Also ate there for lunch and that was also surperb. Stayed for three days then left to hike home. I will be back next year!!!
