Was great place to visit, only downside was the lack of public restroom(due to vandalism) as per the sign. Can't stand idiots destroying public property. Park was well kept and nice though.

What a great little place in the middle of a great little town. Sits right on the Appalachian trail and the creeper trail.

Lovely piece of nature, Damascus is, and always will be, my favorite place to get away from it all.The park is always kept clean from trash, the river is trout stocked so it's great for fishing. The surrounding neighborhood is always inviting and very kid friendly.Playground: Very clean, plenty of equipment to keep a child entertained for a good couple hours.Restrooms: Two gendered restrooms to the farthest left side of the park by the trains.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are literally everywhere! Multiple clean-up stations for dogs scattered around the park.As long as they're on a leash (for the sake of other dogs and people) they're good to go!Picnic area: Nice set of picnic tables beside the Gazebo, the area is shady and kept very clean.

Damascus Town Park is kind of a long strip running along the river. It was Trail Days when we were there so it was really busy and there was a lot going on that probably would not normally be the case. There is a playground, an amphitheater, picnic tables. Not sure if there are permanent restrooms, but we saw a bunch of port-a-potties. There are nice views of the river and lots of grassy areas.

We were there during Appalachian Trail Days so it was mobbed, but it's a lovely park along the river flowing through town.

We walk our dog there every day, recently bathrooms are always locked which is not good and a lot of people don't keep their dogs harnassed which makes it hard for old people with small dogs on leashes. Have always enjoyed it, kept up nice except for bathroom issueRestrooms: Locked or out of order too muchDog-friendliness: Need to be harnaßed more

This is a pleasant and quiet park to rest and relax especially after biking the Virginia Creeper trail. There are restrooms, picnic tables and a pavilion as well as trees that provide a good amount of shade. It's well maintained.
