Discovery Learning Center is such an amazing school! My son has been going there since he was 8 weeks old. He is now 2 and a half. The staff have showed us so much love and support. They let my son's speech therapist come to school to complete sessions, worked with us on his feeding issues, and even cut his hair when he was scared. My son has learned so much from these lovely people. Due to their hard work, my son is now developmentally on track and no longer requires speech services. As a teacher myself, I would recommend this Learning Center to all parents.

Best daycare/after school care/summer camp in the area. When you hear people say "It takes a village", everyone at Discovery Learning Center is in my village. My son was kicked out of Merit for not conforming to their mold. Discovery really helped him with his behavior issues in a way that was tailored to his needs. I cannot speak highly enough about their preschool program, it was amazing. The teacher, Ms. Gloria, is awesome. The lesson plans were amazing and he always came home with handouts so I knew what he was working on. He was so prepared for kindergarten. We are now using the afterschool program. Mr. Isahiah is wonderful with the kids, he even helps with homework. The owner and director are so easy to work with. Everyone on the staff knows my son and speaks to him every time he gets there and leaves. Everyone there cares about the well being of each child in their care. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

My kids went here years ago and always enjoyed it. My son had behavior adhd issues with a slight touch of autism. When I came here I flat out asked if they would be able to handled him because he had been kicked out of two other child care centers. I didn’t want to waste anyones time. Mrs Sandra looked at me with a frown and said oh we don’t kick children out we can handle them in any situation. I then felt a huge weight lifted from my shoulders. Definitely a great place to have your child attend.

My kids went here for a few years. My son had some behavior issues because of autism and adhd but they worked with him and treated him very well. He still talks about and wants to go back here and he's 13 now. The owner was very kind and understanding of his needs.

We are sad to say Goodbye to DLC as it has been both of my boy’s second home for the past 4 years. The staff are all wonderful and Mrs. Sandra does truly care about the families that attend and always goes above and beyond to meet your expectations. My boys have attended and had major milestones at DLC. My little one learned how to walk, talk, and now is one of the smartest 3 year old’s our there. My oldest started at DLC at age 2 and now he is finishing up Kindergarten as an all star student always receiving praise for his kindness and for always being the well behaved kid.. principles he picked up not only at home but also at daycare! We will miss DLC so much! Thank you to Mrs. Sandra, Natalie, Sue, Maddie, Isaiah, Amber, Yadira, Gloria, Heather, and all the other staff that my kids have learned to love! Will Miss you!-Stephanie, Marco, Marco-Andre and Leo Siles

I write this review with a tinge of sadness because we are moving. But before we leave the area, I feel compelled to share three reasons why your child is best off HERE than... well, anywhere else, really.1.) Your child will develop: My son was developmentally delayed, hindered by several compounding problems including speech and fine motor skill issues. We struggled with this, and even had some issues with county professionals, but at every turn the staff UNIFORMLY supported Liam and adhered to his rights and needs. He is now a chatty, articulate, and co-ordinates seven-year old boy thanks to spending his mornings and afternoons here.2.) You child will be safe: There are eyes and ears everywhere and they are open at all times. The door is secure and the students do NOT bully each other given the adult supervision. Whenever your child is showing unusual habits or worrying behaviors, the staff will inform you immediately without over-reacting, as well.3.) Excellent value: You will ALWAYS feel that your money is well spent here. The rates are inexpensive given the quality of care and materials, and I especially appreciate the special events that are held in the evenings so my wife and I can have the occasional date.A lot of families are blooming in the area, and not only does Discovery provide a means to connect with those families but it will seamlessly integrate with the surrounding elementary schools as well as with your household.

Today is my daughter's last day at Discovery Learning Center, and I cannot rave enough about it. My daughter comes home every day with a smile, and tells me all of the things that she learned that day. It has given her an amazing boost towards Kindergarten (which she starts on Monday).I am personally very sad to see my daughter leave the Discovery Learning Center here at Mapledale plaza. The staff really care, are organized, engage with the children, and keep the parents up to date on everything. I know my daughter will love Kindergarten and thrive there but I really think that it's because of DLC's prep, guidance, and attentiveness. She started here for pre-school this year and stayed for Summer. Never did she stop learning, growing and being (delightfully) challenged. She was so happy at DLC that last night we spent time to write thank you cards and good bye cards too the staff and her class mates. So Thank You for providing a place that my daughter could love, grow, and feel safe doing so at. We value the friendships my daughter has built there and know that she will miss you all.

Currently have 3 of my boys attending DLC for about 4years, wonderful center, All the staff treats us like family and help with resources whenever i have a problem. between helping my oldest with after-school tutoring, to working with my two middle with personal skills, they will do what ever that can to make sure the children succed! Plus they have cool summer programs, new theme each summer keeps the little ones busy! ♡
