Hi! I just want to say that I am very impressed with our new person in our Spark office in Culpeper because I was having a situation with the kids messing with our cars and things in the parking lot and she very politely went and had us talk with the parents and we have hopefully, solve this problem and I wanted to make sure that Nicole gets credit for showing that we do have someone that cares about what’s happening with us here in Spark thank you

The new head of Maintenance at the time of this writing is knowledgeable and teaching his apprentice instead of using him as a tool carrier and flashlight holder. When he made a mistake, he owned up to it and called himself out and fixed it. He was able to troubleshoot our unit's HVAC system without doing hit-and-miss and within minutes. But, tripled checked before saying what he already knew when he came in. Before he left, he was on the phone getting the ball rolling to have the system ordered. Thanks to this he was able to get the unit here and replaced in four days.
With the turnover of this company from its past owner's to its current owners, there has been a serious issue to retain an experienced head of maintenance here. If you're reading this do whatever it takes to keep this guy here.

Brian, the maintenance guy, is great! Any time we have needed something fix he is on time, thorough in his work, and very friendly. My wife and I really appreciate all the work and help he has done for us during our time as a resident

Although I really appreciate the staff who I have spoken to in the past there just is no reliability here. I had a broken washer for 6months which was only fixed when I happened to catch the maintenance man. When I told him the washer was ruining my clothes he said something like “oh yeah I read that request and assumed you were exaggerating” then he looked at my washer and saw how bad it was and finally it was fixed. I also had my car towed for my inspection being out of date by less than a month. The lease states certain parking restrictions like can’t have a flat tire etc. they are very strict and I never saw a warning on my car. It either fell off before I got to my car or was taken off. Either way I think their parking rules are too strict. In my case I was waiting for my windshield to be replaced and the appointment kept getting changed as we were waiting for parts….where else was I suppose to park my car if not at my home? Also emails get left unread or answered and so do calls. I am currently trying to break my lease for unrelated reasons but this makes me glad I am leaving. Again the staff seems nice enough it just seems like they put a lot of energy it dumb stuff like towing cars and not a lot of effort in important things like answering renters and fixing issues.
Also still have a maintenance request in for my closets which all are off track. I’m sure that won’t be fixed until I leave. And when I put in a request because there are gaps in the doors which let bugs in they said there was no way to fix it and that’s just how these doors are. I would recommend other places over this for sure.
It’s unfortunate because it’s a nice location and the apartment is decent sized, etc.

I have an autistic grandson and there was glass sticking out our door and we made some reports about it but it never got fixed thanks to Brian he got it fixed within a week as soon as he heard about it thank you so much Brian.

My boyfriend and I have lived here for a month now. Our move in was a little rocky but once we got in the door it has been good. We have had a few minor maintenance issues that Brian has been on top of right way. The community itself if quiet and clean.

Our complex required inspections for air filters and smoke detectors. Brian came in to do this and without hesitation, he took notice of other faults of our unit (i.e. peeling cabinets, unsteady deck, and incorrect paint job). We have been here 2, almost 3, years and have asked for these things to be fixed. He noticed immediately and made note. Now he has not fixed these issues yet, but I know and can confidently say that he will be back to get it done. It is about time this complex has a trusted worker! I can already see the positive changes he has made in this community. Thankful to have Brian here at Spark Culpeper!

After experiencing issue with washer, Brian was quick to make sure it got resolved. He also insured the installation of new carpet and flooring was done correctly and completed in a timely matter..Brian was very professional and understood our concerns.
