This was my first time having Patti M "master stylist" as my stylist. She was prompt for my appointment. Firstly she was very rough brushing out my dry hair. I feel like it's pretty much commonly known that when brushing tangled hair to grab above the spot you're brushing to prevent hurting the client, ripping out hair unnecessarily, and damaging the hair. I think she didn't want to take the time to clip up a couple of sections so she could brush it the right way. So she held up one section of hair with one hand and then roughly brushed with the other hand. I told her it was hurting and she gentled up. She washed my hair perfectly fine. No issues. When she was partially through cutting my hair, I was mentioning how I want my bangs cut where when they were blow dried that they did the swoop back (kind of like curtain bangs) and she stops me mid sentence and says "wait you don't think I'm going to blow dry your hair smooth right? Cause I don't have time for that. Your hair is too long and would take too long." I was a little surprised but mentioned that the website said the cut came with a blow dry and style. She said yes it does but that I'm not the typical client and they don't assume someone has hair as long as me. My hair is mid back length, when yes is longer than some but isn't extremely out of the norm. Anyway she agreed that the website says it includes a blow dry and she would blow dry it, just not "smooth it out". I'm not really a controversial person and I do understand that she might have had other clients, so I said sure that's fine any type of blow dry you have time for is fine. Then at the end she left my hair about 60% dry with some slight diffusing as her version of styling. Still very wet. So I walked out of the salon after paying for a $75 haircut, style, and blow dry in the middle of winter and 5 months pregnant with my hair still very wet and not styled at all. Epic fail. This was my first time at this salon. The above review for Patti M reflects on the business as a whole too. The website specifically mentions that the cut at this salon includes a blow dry and style (which for $75 seems pretty fair). The website also specifically mentioned that " Throughout your service you may have one of our assistants help with Shampooing, treatments, finishing and small color applications." Indicating that at the very least, an assistant should have been available to finish up the blow drying process (which I have had at other salons). There were 3 other individuals working at the salon at the time of my appointment and one of them even specifically mentioned being "on the clock", when Patti announced that she wouldn't be able to finish drying my hair no one else offered to assist. I have never in my life walked out of a salon with wet hair, let alone for $75. I won't be returning. This also makes me understand why this salon had same day appointments when every other salon in Culpeper and Warrenton were booked. I will make sure I book ahead of time at another salon so I can actually have my hair finished.

Hannah is an awesome stylist! She is wonderful with younger clients (and older clients?). Gives amazing cuts, and is great with highlights/coloring. She is always on time. The salon has free drinks and snacks, which is great for parents who are waiting for their kids! Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend Hannah and Scarlet and Sage.

Wonderful experience! Chelsea did my color and cut for the first time (it’s been anlmost a year) and did it perfectly. Everything from making the appointment to arriving was made very easy and enjoyable. I don't want to style my own hair after this great styling.
Stylist: Chelsea was wonderful! Very knowledgeable with cut and coloring and educating me along the way.

Requested style: My hair is think and coarse in the back. It’s stubborn to blow dry, but my stylists have never minded. They still take their time. I’ve been to places where stylists will roll their eyes or have their eyes get big: “you want me to blow dry all this hair??” Never at your salon!
Stylist: Emily was so patient with my 2 year old boy. She took time until he calmed down a bit. She bent down to his level and made him giggle. Once he was comfortable with her and a pair of scissors on his head, she started.

Such a beautiful salon with talented stylists! I always come here for cuts, and have had several different stylists all whom I’ve had great experiences with. I recently had a cut by Emily B. and she exceeded my expectations. From relatable and comfortable conversations to perfectly executing my much needed cut, I can honestly say I think I’ve found MY stylist! She’s moving to the Remington location, and I can confidently say I’ll be making the drive to see her. Thank you again, Emily!

I consulted with Chelsea about a big chop for my damaged hair. My texture is 3c/4a. I was nervous, initially. Chelsea took her time & got every curl cut to preferred length, while asking me how I felt about it along the way. This made me feel at ease because I knew she wouldn’t get scissor happy & go too far. Ive always been self conscious about my texture when it is short but it turned out perfect & now my hair has grown about inches over the past 10 months & is much healthier!

Jamie and Joslynn provided hair and makeup for our wedding. They did an AMAZING job with me and my two bridesmaids. The whole process you could tell they knew what they were doing and were so kind the whole way. From the trial to the actual wedding day all requests were listened to. We looked absolutely beautiful and our hair and makeup stayed together the entire time (and it was HOT). Also when it comes to location they were able to accommodate us to get ready at the Remington location instead of the Culpeper one. Everything was perfect.

You texted me to leave a review so here it is.. My daughter who is 12 wanted some highlights in her hair for summer. She was using her birthday money to do so. I called your salon number for Remington to make an appointment. I had no idea there were two locations. I called the number for Remington that popped up because I live in Remington and her friend came to your salon and referred her. So I make the appointment, June 11th at 11am.. We go up to the top floor and the door is closed with a note that says if the door is closed to sit in the hallway and wait. No problem, we're sitting and waiting. About 20mins go by and I get a phone call. A lady called to ask if we were coming to our appointment and I let her know that we were in the hallway waiting. She said your appointment is in Culpeper and I'm like well that would have been nice to know because I didn't know you had two locations and I called the Remington number to make an appointment. She said that's an issue they were working on when making appointments, to make sure they ask which location. I told her I could leave right then and come to Culpeper ( gas waste).. I must add that before I made the appointment I got a quote for her to get highlights to be around $145. I made sure because she was spending her own birthday money so I told her she had to have at least $150 and a tip. Once we arrived to Culpeper the lady who was going to do her hair first of all didn't seem happy (not our fault!!!) Anyways, she was like I need to go get you a price after looking at my daughter hair. When she came back she told us it was going to be around $400!!!!! For a 12 year old to get a few highlights, after I already made sure before I made the appointment. So now I've done wasted my whole morning. We walked out, what a waste of time, effort and gas!!! Never again!

I made an appointment with one specific stylist and when I got there they assigned me to someone else. This person spent about three minutes trimming my hair, but wasn't allowed to trim my eyebrows or shave my neck. Complete waste of time and money.
I sent them a message to see if they wanted to make it right and they ignored me until now, when they asked for a review. Well, here it is.
