Searching for interesting out of the way places on our backroads trip and happened to find this store on our way north. I went in to grab a snack and a drink and met the owner Reva. We conversated briefly about the business and history/ the interior of the store had the feel of an old time general store and you could tell it had been there operating for quite a while. Reva was very kind and generous and was an absolute pleasure to have met on our trip. I bought some snacks and drinks and he wished us well and welcomed us back in the future. Thanks and we wish you the best.

A great little local shop, full of history and friendliness. The store is actually labeled Norman Grocery. Check out the new historical marker for some fascinating history.Visited here on a whim doing ancestry research (see my name) and discovered a distant relation with the owner. Very happy to know them and our connection to the store and area!

The best place we could have visited during our road trip was where we met Mr. Reva and learned the story of this place and his family. His grandfather opened this store in 1894, and he is now the third generation running it. He also shared with us the story of his son-in-law, who was a basketball player for the Flamengo team in Brazil, our home country. Mr. Reva told us all about his grandsons and daughter as well. We felt so welcomed and will keep Mr. Reva in our hearts, along with his sweetest smile and warm reception. If you have the chance, make sure to stop by there; he deserves the best visitors!

Mr. Tutt and his family is a part of history for our family. I am glad the store is still open with welcoming smiles and excellent service and great food. Thank you to the Tutt family for giving my family generations of superb friendly service. May the tradition go on. The Fairfax Marks family.

It is listed as Lewis Tutt, but it is really Norman's Grocery. Mr. Reva makes a good chili and chicken and dumplings. When COVID is over he will have several other food offerings. Worth the stop between Culpeper and Sperryville.
