I hate when I read reviews and the "customers " are obviously talking about a different store as they live on the opposite side of the country. I decided to review for this reason. I am absolutely in love with the vintage section of jewelry in my hometown jewelry store . I really like the fact that they are the only store in my knowledge that has a low down payment lay away with no interest as long as you pay something every month. I look at their website and custom design my rings from the thousands of mountings they have access to. My family is always growing as my children have children and I want them all to cherish a piece of jewelry from me long after I'm gone.

I love the hometown vibe they bring. My husband purchased a beautiful diamond ring from them and it was the last thing he bought for me before passing with COVID. They were compassionate to me and respected my husband. They are excellent resources for any stone or metal questions and they are very loyal to their customers. I trust and am grateful for their service to our community!!

I had came to fix my jewelry here a couple of times. They are great and do an awesome job. They also have a great selection of jewelry. They have some new promotions of goody mystery bags. I wouldn’t recommend! Took them over 10 days to fix a BRAND NEW necklace only for it to break again a couple days later! Fell off my neck with no force! The guy made up some dumb excuse like, it found it’s next breaking point. & offered to fix again with charge! NO THANKS, I’ll take my money else where.

Came in for a simple sizing, to have round dots placed on an over 1 C diamond ring and their work was so sloppy I immediately took it to Reines in Charlottesville. They were so unprofessional and rude that I felt uncomfortable being there. I would suggest if you need work done to go elsewhere. Reines is great and the staff there is very friendly. I tell everyone who asks about having work done to NOT go to J AND R

So for our 25th wedding anniversary which is actually 19th of July. My husband and I took my original interlocking wedding rings and his wedding band and had a custom anniversary rings put together with all the diamonds and gold melted together. I'm simply in love with this new ring. J & R did a beautiful job. Thank you.

I was raised being told if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all. I am so past that. Never in my life have I been treated so rudely. Not only did they not do what I asked but then they "fixed" it wrong, they kept the gold from screw back gold earrings any claimed it was filing's. I try to support local but don't spend your time or money being insulted.

Amazing! I took my engagement ring there after I lost two baby diamonds on the side band. I was nervous about leaving it there, but they were so sweet and kind about helping me! They replaced the stones, checked all the prongs and fixed them, as well as cleaned it and reshaped the band. Would 100% take my jewelry back there for fixing. Their in store selection of jewelry looked amazing as well!

No returns. Either store credit or exchange. I would have loved to have continued to support a local jeweler, unfortunately not this one. Everyone was polite and helpful, I just wish I had made my purchase with another store with a different policy.
