Giving my same review from the market:I've heard a bit about the fried chicken here and since I was driving through, we stopped for lunch. I'll explain my 4-star a bit. For a gas station without much around, it was a good meal at a reasonable price. I went with the 3-piece dinner, which gets you a thigh, wing, drumstick, and two sides. There were a few options and I went with scalloped potatoes and onion rings... Oh, and a dinner roll. For $9.99 it felt pretty reasonable. Chicken and sides were warm. Chicken was crispy, good seasoning, but not complex flavor. Onion rings are real onion rings (not minced) and batter fried. Scalloped potatoes were better than expected and they were a decent portion.In the end, it was good fried chicken from a gas station, though I don't think I'd go out of the way for it. Driving past at meal time and it's a reasonable option that won't break the bank.

My husband and I are localNatives of the area and always loved Brownsville food. The past year it has gone down hill. I got a breakfast burrito this morning and the sausage was old and hard and it taste like a burnt cheeseburger so that indicates they aren’t cleaning their grills from the night before. It was so bad my dog wouldn’t eat it. I didn’t want a $5 breakfast burrito go to waste. I hope the new owner reads this feedback and improves on the food.

I have ordered large amounts of chicken in the past with no issues. Yesterday my husband picked up the order I had placed and once we arrived for the lunch we had planned I saw it wasn't the right order. We had driven about 30 miles away so there was no time to get it fixed. I am pretty sure we overpaid for this because it was a lot less chicken and all these giant chicken breasts instead of the dark meat I had order. Sadly some guests didn't make it to the lunch, but lucky for us I guess because we wouldn't have had enough. I called to let them know we had the wrong order so they could check the other orders that might still be there so someone else wouldn't also get the wrong order. Not exactly sure what the response was, but the basic reply was that they are busy and oh well. We should have checked our order before leaving. Disappointing.
