If you are not in the upper echelon, and I am not, you are ostracized by the employees here- who think they are better than you.

This review is strictly related to bsv credit card and how it affects an individual credit history for a loan if you are just using bsv credit card to build credit.Bsv credit card do not report to all 3 credit bureaus so dont try to build credit through bsv credit card. Most lenders require at least 2 credit bureau scores. Bsv also need 2 scores so u may be stuck without a home loan until u build credit using another credit card. Bsv card comes with an annual service fee while most other cards are free and you may get some rewards. Wish bsv find a better product for their customers.

For years I haven't really had any issues. Recently though, it seems no one really has any idea whatt they're doing. I encountered a fraudulent incident on my card. I called the bank and was sent over some documents to fill out and was told I'd be getting a new card in the mail in 1-2 weeks. (I live out of state) well a few weeks go by and I hear nothing. No new card. So I call and that card was never sent.... cool! So the lady on the phone said it would be sent that day. Nice. Well the next day I go out shopping and my card gets declined.... so I call the bank again. Oh yeah your card was cancelled so we could send the new one. Wow thanks for the notice guys! Not to mention everytime I call I get long hold times and once I even got hung up on. I presume they had replaced their staff wit amateurs, couldn't tell you. Either way, switching here very shortly. I hope others have a simpler experience.

I closed my account nearly a week ago and now have a pending transaction and a negative balance for $50. When i called to discuss this with the branch, Cheryl was very rude about the whole situation and couldnt understand why i was dumbfounded that they let a charge through nearly a week after the account was closed. After 3 years of being talked down to by rude tellers and extreme inconsistency i have taken my business else where. I recommend you do the same. $6 a month for a checking account at a bank with poor customer service is just not worth it.

Constant inconvenience and inconsistency between different branches. We've been customers for over a decade and the Colonial Heights office is the only location I've ever been told I needed to purchase deposit tickets in order to make deposits. Essentially folks, you must PAY to put your money in this bank. Also they hold deposits for 30 days before making available to customer. This and many other annoying problems at the Col Hts location I have NEVER experienced this terrible service at the other branches, but I've had enough I'm closing my accounts.
