Lonesome Pine RV Park & Campground is a great, family-oriented, and pet-friendly place. It offers a clean, quiet, safe, and very reasonably priced environment with well-maintained, reasonably priced lots. The RV park is conveniently located near a main highway, close to grocery stores, shopping, gas stations, and other city amenities, all just a few minutes away. The facilities are clean and include a bath house with restrooms and showers described as amazing, along with a laundry room and a dump station; these are for tenants only. All RV sites are back-in and include water, electricity, and sewer. The park is also a storage facility for RVs, boats, and trailers. The staff and ownership are noted for being very welcoming, friendly, polite, and offering superb hospitality, making guests feel at home. The atmosphere is peaceful, with long-term tenants and a quiet night. It is a no-frills, fenced-in park. For pets, it is dog-friendly with a nice small dog park on site, requiring leashes and clean-up. The park offers both 30 amp and 50 amp service, with monthly rates available. Payment is by cash or check. It provides a comfortable, home-like experience in the beautiful mountains of southwest Virginia.

Great place. Bruce, the host, is a gentleman and takes care of his renters. I didn't have many issues, but when I did, he was responsive, understanding and accommodating. I was very well taken care of. Dollar general, Food City and a great Mexican restaurant is within walking distance too.

I stopped here while on the road heading to Abingdon from northern Michigan. What a friendly safe environment with food close and the nicest staff ever. Please consider this as a future stop in your travels. I know that I will!
