“Dr. Athar was very attentive and thorough in his professional and expert opinion. We’ve had experiences in other Banfield locations where we felt like we were being pushed for expensive medical tests/etc even before we saw the doctor. Here, everyone from the front desk, Dorothea and Dr. Athar explained every part of the process thoroughly and gave different options. Definitely recommend this location as your regular go-to for your pets’ health.”
“The staff were extremely kind and knowledgeable, providing excellent explanations on the post op care for our puppy, as well as immediate and clear communication about our dog's status after his surgery. All instructions provided were easy to understand and follow. The cherry on top is how affordable Anicira was, making it an easy choice where to get our dog neutered and where to bring other pets for future surgical needs. We would highly recommend Anicira to anyone in need of care for their pets.”
“I took in a fecal sample for a test. The two person team was efficient. My observation was that they did not greet me or acknowledge me when I stood at the booth where they were working. When they finally acknowledged my presence they were curt, and did not greet me or smile once during the whole ten minutes of my stay. I know that it’s more important to be efficient than nice, still… it made me feel unwelcome and that it was a big bother to be pleasant. I hope this comment is helpful.”

“The staff at Burke Vet clinic are fabulous! When I had to put one of my cats to sleep, the vet and staff were so kind, understanding, and comforting. Their fees are also more reasonable than other vet clinics I've used.”
“Update: The vet returned my call on Tuesday and took care of everything. I am satisfied now.The vet is very hard to get a hold of after seeing her for the first time when she informed us our indoor cat has fleas. The vet suggested we put her on Next guard Combo and informed us that she might need something to help with itchy spots and told us to call if she is still scratching a lot after the application.Called on a Thursday left a message. Called on the following Friday and spoke with someone who said they would call the vet to ask about it. Meanwhile, my cat is in discomfort. It is odd that there is only one vet at this practice who is not available at all on Thursdays and is not onsite on a Friday. Maybe I will hear from them on Monday. if not, I might need to find a different vet.”
“I have not had a lot of experience with vets taking care of my tropical birds. When I did have a serious problem with my birds Dr. Bignall was always availabe and highly concerned for there health. I don't know what I would do with out such a wonderful veterinarian. One life couldn't be saved the other probably would of died without his help. God bless him and you couldn't get a more caring and concerned Dr. for your precious little creature.”

“My family took our animals to another vet for 20+ years. When our dog needed an appointment but they couldn’t fit us in, we ended up taking her to Signal Hill Animal Clinic since they were the only ones available. We never went back and have been coming here for a few years now! I honestly can’t say enough good things about them.Dr. Lloyd & Dr. Biggs have been extremely knowledgeable, empathetic, and respectful of our wishes. I never once got the feeling they were trying to upsell us or give us things we didn’t need. You can just tell by the way they interact with your pets that they truly enjoy the work they do. The vet techs & receptionists are also very informative and friendly. It’s such a small thing but they are always smiling and willing to answer any questions you have.Taking your animals to the vet can be so stressful and expensive, but it’s always a pleasure to take our pets here. I feel completely comfortable leaving my animals in their care. Our pets also like coming here (as much an animal can enjoy the vet haha), which speaks volumes about their staff. As long as I live in Virginia, I don’t plan on taking my pets anywhere else.”

“My dog had an infection that needed to be taken care of as soon as possible. My husband found Sully Animal Hospital and they were able to get her in that same morning and perform surgery. I felt so at ease letting my dog go back with the nurses and after a few hours we got a call that everything went well. Everyone that we came in contact with was extra sweet and it seemed like they truly care. I’d drive 45 minutes over and over again to have them take care of my sweet Bella. “Our very old. Quaker parakeet is quite sick. We had him to an emergency vet when we were traveling and knew we needed to see a local vet. I am so grateful to have an avian vet almost in our neighborhood. In years passed, this wasn't even a possibility so we were very happy to find Ridge Lake animal hospital.The staff there is wonderful. The intake worker seems to have an incredible amount of knowledge which was not expected and a pleasant surprise. He was both reassuring and quite helpful. The nurse assistant was very kind and gentle in caring for our poor old bird.The vet seems to be truly knowledgeable about birds. Birds are quite different from many pets and a bit difficult to treat. Her knowledge has quite helpful to us. She has been willing to take the time to speak with us at length and to send us information that we need. An added plus is that she doesn't seem push too many tests right out of the gate the way other places have. Yet she is more than willing to order whatever tests are needed.The whole staff is very compassionate and patient, which is something any pet owner with a sick animal is going to appreciate. I highly recommend Ridge Lake animal hospital”
