“Dr. Athar was very attentive and thorough in his professional and expert opinion. We’ve had experiences in other Banfield locations where we felt like we were being pushed for expensive medical tests/etc even before we saw the doctor. Here, everyone from the front desk, Dorothea and Dr. Athar explained every part of the process thoroughly and gave different options. Definitely recommend this location as your regular go-to for your pets’ health.”
“I took in a fecal sample for a test. The two person team was efficient. My observation was that they did not greet me or acknowledge me when I stood at the booth where they were working. When they finally acknowledged my presence they were curt, and did not greet me or smile once during the whole ten minutes of my stay. I know that it’s more important to be efficient than nice, still… it made me feel unwelcome and that it was a big bother to be pleasant. I hope this comment is helpful.”

“I originally took my guinea pig to another practice in the region that offers an exotics clinic when I was concerned about an eye infection. After 10 days of the treatment plan from that clinic, I was concerned that the infection was worsening and elected to get seen at a different clinic for an alternate opinion. SEAVS was recommended so I reached out. Originally, they didn't have availability until the next business week, but when I mentioned that it was an eye infection and I wasn't sure if it needed to be seen sooner, they had me talk to a tech who was able to hear the details of the situation and get me an appointment the next day--I was so thankful! Dr Nielsen did a much more comprehensive exam than was done previously. She picked up on some subtle presentations that have been present as long as I have had this guinea pig and even suggested a possible etiology (and way to be sure, if I wanted to invest in a CT scan). She listened to all of my concerns, recommended a very thorough treatment plan, and told me to grab her card so I could reach out if there were any other questions or concerns. I know its an autoemail, but I was also impressed that the clinic reached out a few days after the appointment to check in and see how my guinea was doing. In the future, SEAVS is going to be my first call for guinea pig health concerns. Oh, and about that eye infection--after just a few days, it looks so much better!”

“Lovely and passionate staff and technicians. Took our kitty to the clinic for an emergency appointment. They were willing to work with our budget and to walk us through the ordeal of emergency surgery. They also provided us a carrier for free since we were not expecting to have to need one so soon. We adopted our kitty only two days ago and she needed emergency care. I've taken my turtles to the clinic in the past, and haven't been disappointed. Not sure if they still see reptiles, since the doctor had to be scheduled two weeks in advance, but they are caring enough to guide me to other exotic vets and to call me for a follow-up.”
“Wonderful vet. I am extremely difficult to please, especially when it comes to the care my loved ones receive. Trust me when I say this office exceeds my lofty expectations every time. Both doctors we have seen are incredibly thorough, they do not rush and genuinely seem to care about our cat. They take the time to explain things in detail, they are gentle and patient. They do not push unnecessary treatments or try to run your bill up for their benefit. You can tell that they are passionate about animal care and they have a wealth of knowledge to back it up. If you’re looking for an honest, trustworthy, knowledgeable place to take your pet to, this is it.”
“The staff were extremely kind and knowledgeable, providing excellent explanations on the post op care for our puppy, as well as immediate and clear communication about our dog's status after his surgery. All instructions provided were easy to understand and follow. The cherry on top is how affordable Anicira was, making it an easy choice where to get our dog neutered and where to bring other pets for future surgical needs. “I took my cat in because she had been scratching herself and I saw some inflammation on the skin. The vet was professional and friendly. Her skin condition has been improved - and we didn't have to pay for extra stuff like X-ray blood test etc like other places. I like that they are honest.”
“The care here is top notch. I have to specifically call out Dr. Goodrich - she is phenomenal. She is thorough, thoughtful, and overall, I have just been continually been impressed by her and her care of my pets and went above and beyond to help us provide them the best supportive care. We had an elderly (17) dog with lots of health history and issues and she helped us navigate keeping him happy and comfortable for as long as possible. She did research, kept up with industry and offered treatments that would be beneficial to him - even when we were just bringing him in for a nail trim she'd stop by and say hi to us and ask about him. When he passed and she was seeing our other dog, she was, as always, gracious and kind and offered apologies. I can't recommend her enough! The other staff here is also very helpful. From techs teaching us how to administer shots or just requesting refills we've never had a bad experience. I'd absolutely trust this business with my pets and have for almost 5 years!”

When there was nothing left to be done be done they gave us the space and time to say goodbye. In all we only interacted with them for 30 minutes but they made a very hard time as easy as possible. “I recently went to Dale City Animal Hospital w a foster cat I have. They recently moved and have a new facility which is large, clean and very welcoming. I got an appointment approximately a week or so after I called. The front desk staff was courteous and nice and I was checked in right after arriving. I did wait a little for my appointment but that’s pretty standard for a veterinary office. We saw Dr Drake whom I found to be very informative and was willing to listen to my concerns, which I had a lot of. I really liked the way she seems to summarize her findings and she was gentle and compassionate with my foster who is an older cat who has not had the best life before coming into our rescue. I was very happy with her plan of action and her recommendations. She called me as soon as she had the lab results which I appreciated and gave me an outline of what our next steps should/could be. Again, I found her to be very informative in her explanations and the possible plan of treatment. I was very surprised when my phone rang at 8:15 tonight and showed DCAH. She had received a lab test we were waiting on and had taken time out of her busy day (when she probably just wanted to get home) to let me know the outcome. I thought that was pretty great. All in all, I’m very very pleased with everything at this location and I consider myself to be pretty picky, and Dr Drake is a caring vet whom has a great “bedside” manner, or should I say table side manner ?. Thank you DCAH and Dr Drake for being so good to my sweet foster boy who deserves the best after his first 12-15 years of life which were not so great.”

I met him when I was hired as a doctor's assistant by an animal hospital where he was practicing, so I know well how he cares for his patients--not to mention the people who work for him. When he left that hospital to partner in a different one, a clinic a much longer drive from my home, I and my pets followed him, as did my daughter and son-in-law and their pets. Burke Animal Clinic, its doctors and staff, are just wonderful. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.”

I’ve been taking my dog and cats here since 2019 and never thought of switch to different vet after we moved away from the area.Recently my dog was poisoned and Dr.Massod and his team provided excellent care and save her life. Their help and support has been a lifesaver over and over since I started bringing my cats to them in late 2020. Most of my visits have involved elderly kitties in their final years - good friends with me for 18 or 20 years. You can imagine what they meant to me. The team always has always been encouraging, loving and capable. I just moved to Philadelphia and not having them nearby is one of the hardest aspects of moving. I will still take my cats there as feasible. Who knows? I may need to move back!”
