Long drive from central VA with a stop here before we headed back. No wait to sit outside. Quiet if a bit warm, but fans kept the air moving and the umbrellas blotted direct sunlight. The food was fabulous. Octopus as appetizer was fresh and not spongy (as it can be if not fresh or if cooked poorly). Branzino in parchment paper was herbaceous and well-seasoned with tomato that enhanced the flavor more than it overpowered it. Wedge salad was unexpectedly filling and large. Dessert special of panna cotta was shared over a cappuccino. Really, though, the reason why we'll be coming back is the waitstaff. I could not have asked for better service.

Wonderful service and outstanding Italian food in the quaint town of Clifton, VA. I have tried several pasta dishes with their pillowy gnocchi being my personal favorite thus far. Additionally their Swiss Chard and Ricotta ravioli in creamy garlic sauce is fabulous. There are so many other tasty dishes I've yet to try, but the service and ambience will definitely have me coming back for more! The staff are truly a great team.

I have been here several times and always order something new. No repeats here. Everything is delicious. I love the service and the ambiance. Excellent date night place.

Good food overall. We ordered drinks and the fried calamari which was pretty good - the aioli was a winner paired with it over the marinara. The blue crab pasta was good however I would have liked more crab since I only counted about 3-4 lumps. The corn in the pasta was not fresh and tastes like it was old. The chicken parm was good but the pasta was a bit overdone.

The white anchovies appetizer is just that- a bowl of white anchovies. I liked it but usually these are served with some bread... just saying..... The breakfast lasagna was a bit strange-- sweet in savory all in one-- my wife was not a big fan. My tagliatelle Bolognese was really quite good. Bread came about 20 minutes after we sat down but was good. An app, two mains, and two teas was $48, good for a nice little town so close to the beltway.

This is my first time and I had such a fantastic time. I thank Nick, our server, for making my birthday celebration a wonderful experience as well. I cannot believe I did not discover this place soon enough when it is only 20 minutes from my house. They still offer free bread! Weird thing to say but Im saying this because a lot of restaurants now have stopped doing that since covid. We ordered calamari as our appetizer- 8/10 it was pretty good my dad really liked it. I like it as well. I just had better hence 8. My dad and brother ordered the grilled ribeye and they absolutely loved it. The way it was cooked was perfect. And my dad has barely any teeth and he enjoyed it. My brother's gf ordered blue crab pasta which I think is the best out there. I ordered the gnocchi and 9/10. Exactly as expected. I just love that almost everything there is in house made. For dessert, we ordered creme brulee, chocolate cake, and salted caramel gelato (house made) - 10/10 we finished it in a second. We don't usually order dessert but the ambiance of the restaurant really made us want to stay in longer and enjoy our time. So we ordered a lot and everything was worth it. There should be no doubt in your mind to try this place out once at least. Like I am in love. And hope to visit again. I didnt get a chance to take a picture of all food unfortunately because they ate it. I only got to take pics of what I ordered.

I've been here many times, but this is the first time I came here for brunch. Usually the service is excellent, but with a larger party it was a bit slow, which again was surprising for me since usually it's fantastic. I love the atmosphere Villagios has. It's perfect for a date night, and perfect for a brunch as well. It's right in cute, old town Clifton. The food never ever disappoints. Whenever I come here I always get their spaghetti carbonara. It's truly my favorite carbonara I've ever tried. So, luckily I got to try other dishes due to my family attending as well. The egg Benedict, and fried chicken toast were....oh my gosh. After my first bite I had to take a minute to collect myself. Everything always perfectly cooked with utmost flavor. Overall, your tastebuds will thank me if you go to Villagios. There's not one bad dish on their menu, I swear.

Quaint little Italian bistro with an amazing indoor patio. Reminds me of my days in Italy! Try the pizza. It is authentic!

Great environment, good service and food is always great. You can order stone oven pizza, which comes from the pizza place next door. Really good, however, the restaurant has a wonderful selection of great dishes. Last but not least, you don't feel rushed to eat, pay you bill and leave. Two thumbs up!

One of my favorite Italian restaurant in the DMV area! The staff always go above and beyond to make sure you have an great experience! My go to meal every single time is the short rib Ragu! But, trust me, you couldn't order anything wrong here.

We came here for the first time for my parents'anniversary dinner tonight. Parking was a little challenging but we were able to find a spot within minutes. The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean, and surprisingly spacious! The food is exceptional. I love seafood so of course I ordered the spicy seafood pasta and I have to say that it's the BEST && I truly mean THE BEST seafood pasta I've ever had in my life. The flavor is everything. I don't usually finish my food when I order pasta but tonight I demolished that dish in seconds! I know for a fact that whenever I crave seafood pasta, this will be the spot. My family also loved their individual orders!!! Seriously... everything was phenomenal -- from appetizers to desserts!!!! Thank you to our amazing servers especially Kevin! He took good care of us tonight! Be back soon.

I cannot say enough great things about Trattoria Villagio! I'd give more than 5 stars if it were possible. We have visited several times now and always enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. I absolutely love Clifton and all it's charm, and this place is the cherry on top. Something I really enjoy about Trattoria is how it feels so cozy and sophisticated. I hope to sit on the outdoor patio and enjoy another meal soon! We shared a bottle of wine - Breaux Vineyards. This is a local wine for those who may not know, and I love to support local wineries. It was a great choice. We got the shrimp badda-bing! for an appetizer and really liked it. For my entree, I just keep going back to the same dish - the gnocchi. I am obsessed! So far, this is how I enjoy gnocchi the most - In a creamy cheesy mascarpone sauce with sun dried tomatoes, peas, and speck. It's just magnificent. The gnocchi is fluffy and melts in your mouth. To end, we have gotten the creme brûlée a few times now. It's just so delicious. I'm a big fan of creme brûlée and they've got it right. I've had the gelato here before too and it was very delicious. Flavors seem to change weekly. My advice: try this place for yourself! I have recommended it to several people. This is my favorite Italian restaurant in NOVA. Parking could be limited, we have always gotten lucky finding parking close though.

Charming Italian restaurant right in Historic Clifton! Fresh pasta, great wine & cocktail selection, and friendly attentive service. The sangria rossa was delicious and refreshing. I highly recommend the grilled octopus & seafood appetizer if you're an octopus fan - generous portion and perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed my crab tagliatelle pasta too. My friend always gets the lobster ravioli- it's her favorite. Dessert was delicious and not too sweet. They also had fans for outdoor seating and plenty of parking around the restaurant. Very cute spot!

We had a 2:30 reservation on a Saturday. I was surprised how busy the area was, but happy to snag a parking space right next to the building. We were seated promptly. I started with 3 oysters and 3 clams. It was a bit weird (I thought) that they were brought separately. The clams were ok but the oysters were amazing. For my entree, I had spaghetti carbonara as my dining companion said it was her favorite. It was definitely solid, but not the best I've ever had. It was quite a large portion, and I did enjoy the leftovers the next day. (My friend had the special which had some sort of sauce that was truly sublime.) For dessert, I had the pistachio gelato which was good but not great as the pistachio flavor wasn't very strong. My friend, who also had the gelato, agreed that we also missed the pieces of nut (and sometimes cherry) that can be an ingredient. The service is what was most memorable for me. Several manager(types) stopped by to ask if everything was ok, and our waiter Bryan did a great job. Our glasses were always full and our to-go items packed quickly. I also appreciate the contactless payment option. I would definitely return but try different menu items.
