A gem! We enjoyed our stay at the Red Lantern- just off the highway, the location was great, Jo Ann and Michelle were so friendly and helpful when booking and checking in, and we appreciated the thoughtfully stocked kitchen. When we accidentally left a special belonging behind, they took such care in mailing it promptly. A great destination for meeting up with family and would love to return.

This was the sweetest inn and I had an amazing experience staying overnight while in town. The innkeeper is super sweet and accommodating. There’s nice little personal touches throughout that makes you feel Welcome, and at ease. I also noticed Gluten-free options in the continental breakfast choices For those who are gluten-free. My bed was very comfortable!!! Highly recommended.

I had the honor of spending the night at The Red Lantern Inn and it was well worth the visit. Everyone I spoke to that worked there was super receptive and wanted me to feel right at home. The room is comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked and I felt like I was eating at home. I will stay here again if given the opportunity!

Absolutely loved staying here. The building is cute, CLEAN, cozy, and very central. The surrounding area is beautiful as well especially in the fall. We fell in love with this place and the town and hope to be back soon. Thank you Jo Ann!

It is the cutest little Inn! The Inn keeper was so nice and the kitchen with breakfast was great. The price was very fair. It’s an a nice little town right next to the George Washington & Jefferson National Forest.

We reserved the entire Inn (and cottage) for my and my husbands wedding weekend. Jo Ann made everything feel extra magical. All of the special touches, and the Inn itself are so sweet. All of the interior design was beautiful. The character and history of the Inn just added that something ✨extra✨. Not only that, But she thinks of everything you might need for your stay and has that on hand. Would absolutely stay here again! (Maybe for our anniversary )

Enjoyed my stay in the Cozy Cottage. It's a neat house with plenty of space and amenities. Joann was a great host, and I'd stay here again when in the area.

What a wonderful place to stay! My daughter and I were in town for a wedding, so we were only there for one night, but I was VERY pleased! I loved the farmhouse decor! Everything was decorated for fall, and it was beautiful! We stayed in room 3, and the bed was so comfortable! I particularly loved the well-stocked continental breakfast in the kitchen. It really was just like being at home! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be staying again.

Great place to stay at this perfect located Inn. Friendly and clean place, self service breakfast - if you want the whole day. Microwave cooking utilitys and stove available. Fast wifi as well.Coffeemaker is free to use.In walkable distance f. e. :(see my reviews there).- The "Jack Mason Tavern", Restaurant with good food and Brewery.- The Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Museum- The "Coffee Museo" a coffee-grinder Museum and Coffee Bar.- The "Clifton Forge School of the Arts"- The "Historic Masonic Theater"Comeing by car and park behind the Inn without a Problem when having a drink, or use Amtrak - Cardinal, Station is close to the Tavern.

Clean, peaceful, feels like home, excellent dining down the street, did I mention peaceful? The host was quick to respond to our call for accommodation and very helpful. Highly recommend this spot in a quiet little town.

Love this Inn and the innkeeper. Everything that I needed was at hand and more. The bed was comfortable and I rested well.Walkability: Was able to walk to a great restaurant which was open until at least 8PM on a weekday night and I felt safe.
