Customer service is 0. Have been trying to get a refill for almost 2 weeks. Ran out of Propne (heat) after 12 days of empty unfulfilled promises for a delivery.

They have no customer service. They do not communicate with the customer and they do not communicate with the repair or work crew.

Would give them 0 stars if we could. Terrible business model to work with, they charge way over the market price. After you call them , they lower the price . So does that mean that people that don’t complain pay way too much? We switched providers, at least 1/2 a year ago, payed for our in ground tank, to suburban, and after a few months they shut off our gas supply. They’re saying we were way behind in paying our bill :(. Thank goodness we were home, we had to call the office while the guy standing there was waiting to get the ok to undo it, he didn’t even have the right wrench, we had to lend him ours. What if we hadn’t been home, we have a general , and cook with gas. We are so happy with our new provider.

Suburban Propane had been nothing but amazing to our family. Always are there when needed and have never been without. Outstanding service at the Christiansburg office. Kudos to all the drivers, thank you for all you do! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We moved to a new home and had a generator installed. Suburban delivered the propane tanks needed and returned to check everything after the generator installation was complete. Serviceman was very friendly and he did a great job.

UPDATE TO MY 1/31/21 REVIEW:I would like to thank Suburban Propane for taking the time to call me and then call my 84-year-old Mom to reassure her that they will make certain she is taken care of, that from now on they will send someone monthly to keep a check on her propane tank levels. She called to tell me that they told her they will be there for her and that she is in good hands. My husband, sister and I are so grateful that Suburban reached out to Mom directly to allay her fears. We certainly appreciate their doing so - it has made so much difference for her to hear it from them. Thank you so much, Suburban Propane.Original Review My mother has been a Surburban customer since 1997. She is 84 years old - think about that - 84 years old. She has been treatly rudely and without compassion by wendy in the Christiansburg office two years in a row. My mother has been asking for a week for them to come out to fill her tank - well in advance of a winter storm that can (and did) leave her stranded with no way to get out of the ‘holler’ where she lives. For some reason I cannot fathom, this person doesn’t care at all about an elderly woman who lives alone. Wendy repeatedly told my mother that they “don’t have any trucks coming that way”. She started calling a week ago because, having lived there for more than 40 years, she is well aware of how seriously snowed in it gets there, and she is afraid. 84 years old and afraid. What is wrong with these people? My mother suffered the same treatment last year with wendy - hard to believe she is still working there. When Mom didn’t hear back, she called again and our miss wendy told my mother she would “try” to get someone out there the next day before the storm that was due to start (and did) late that night. There’s no excuse for this. I found on their website they are supposedly available “24/7/365” - obviously untrue. When they didn’t show up by dark, I tried to reach them around five in the evening. No response. Nothing. Suburban, you should be ashamed of yourselves. I sincerely hope wendy treats her mother better.

Suburban Propane has an Incredibly slow and inefficient billing system. We had a simple cleaning and adjustment of our gas logs. They're saying it's going to take them a week to figure out how much we owe them.
