Awful experience. Did a large lumber order online to pick up. Went to get it and they said it wasn’t ready and to come back around 5 giving them 5 hours to prepare it. We arrive to get it and it’s not even pulled. They only had part of the order ready which wasn’t even bundled for us to load. The rest wasn’t ready at all. What was the point of ordering it ahead to pick up? Lowe’s is very disappointed to work with.

Lady was very helpful getting my Amex gift card to work to buy my purchase.

I needed some specialty lumber and went to the contractor desk for help. The guy at the counter was incredibly helpful and patient as I tried to confirm the lengths with my contactor by text, and again as I used up four gift cards plus my visa for payment!
He knew his product lines and gave me recommendations for alternatives.
Later, I drove around back and the fellows who loaded my trailer were helpful and efficient.
I'm not sure that I would give 5 stars to *every* visit I've made to this Lowe's, but I have to say that my experience yesterday was worth every one of the five stars.

We all know the big home improvement stores are pretty much the same. Home Depot has more inventory, typically. However, Lowe’s has stepped it up with a dedicated online order pickup zone which is separate from the customer service desk!
That means that you’re not waiting extended periods of time to pickup your order. This new feature, plus the improved online and app based shopping experience and the better rewards program make me prefer to shop at Lowe’s versus any other home improvement store.
