Several years back we had furniture repaired and reupholstered and the prices were fair and the work was satisfactory. Recently we sent a chair to be reupholstered and a couch to be repaired. I was shocked at the price for the repair of the couch but I was more shocked at the work that he did not do to repair the couch. The couch was not repaired and still makes a loud noise when you sit in it. I also asked for the couch to have more stuffing in the cushion. It was very disappointing and substandard work as well as a whopping 1400 when I could have a bought a new couch. All he had to do was tell me he could not do the work. It took a long time and he was out with back surgery. I don’t think he even tried to fix it yet charged a ridiculous amount. Don’t let his age and nice personality fool you. If he thinks he pull the wool over your eyes he will. We found someone in Salem to reupholster 3 other chairs for a lot less money and they did a great job. Be careful with him. I think he basis his prices on what he thinks someone can afford to pay.

Instead of purchasing a new sofa, I took a chance on new foam & batting for the seat cushions. What a great decision that was as C&A breathed new life into the old sofa for a fraction of the price of a new one! Cushions are firmer than when it was new, and turn-around time was only two days! Call me impressed!

Had headliner replaced. Price was more than $50 more than had been quoted, couldn't be bothered to vacuum up the detritus from the work. Disappointing.
