I am a Home Owner at Lake Ridge RV Resort in Hillsville and our owners have set up for us to either attend the 830am or 11am. I thought we’ll post Covid I do not want to worship that way again, but decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did ! I truly love your services . Thank you for doing this! I go back and review the scripture readings and thank you for not allowing me to make excuses for not worshipping no matter where I am . God is so good !

Me and my husband attend every Sunday. The music is awesome and people are very friendly. There is no judgement on your clothes or how you live your life. You come listen to good music and learn about Christ. Service lady for one hour and you have several services to choose from. We prefer the early service?

I'll start out with the drawback. IMO worship time involves the congregation singing along with the worship team. At Blue Ridge that's not the case. Worship time is more like a concert. The vocal talent is superb, and there lies the problem. The singers are so talented and so overpowering most people can't/won't sing. I like to sing when I worship and the fact I can't rubs me the wrong way. For people that don't like to sing they probably enjoy the worship because like I said the singers sound superb. But at times the volume is really cranked up during worship so we have to sit towards the back where it's a little less ear piercing. Now for the positives. Pastor Scott is a solid speaker. He's got a real good delivery that keeps your attention and he's got great character. He was the first person that greeted me our first Sunday at Blue Ridge and that spoke volumes. I've experienced one other younger gentleman that gave a sermon and he was pretty good, but he struggled to keep my attention at times. IMO a pastor needs a decent range of highs and lows during his sermon and he was more in the middle majority of the time. The facility quality is excellent. I watched a few services online in researching churches before we moved to the area and the look of the stage really impressed me. When we arrived our first Sunday walking up to the building I was skeptical because it's a small strip mall type building. However, once we stepped foot in the building my skepticism disappeared. The kids area and the kids staff are top notch. Super friendly and our 5 and 10 year old LOVE going to Blue Ridge. We're still on the fence on what church we're going to ultimately settle down in. If it weren't for the worship thing we would be settled at Blue Ridge already.
