Nice breakfast. Appreciate the extra snacks in afternoon. Was very unhappy we were not put in the room we booked. Were not told until arrival. I understand there was a AC unit broke in room we wanted, but we had really wanted Coastal Breeze room; it put a cloud over our visit

Beautiful old house that was designed so beautifully! I had a late arrival but the owner had left all the instructions clearly and visibility for me! I had another question regarding a hairdryer in my room my that was responded and resolved immediately!!! We didn't book the breakfast but I heard lots of great things about it! The snack room had everything you need for snacking( coffee, tea" Variety of good quality tea,"Chocolate chip cookie, popcorn, and ....) ! The coffee in the morning was freshly made and was outstanding!!!! Drinking a great coffee in the morning is a blessing and Lin made my day by making outstanding coffee and of course her beautiful smile)! *** Lin is wonderful!!! ******

This is the most wonderful place to stay when visiting Chincoteague. If I win the lottery, I'm going to take up permanent residency.

Island manor house is a quaint bed and breakfast that is run incredibly well. Our hostess Julie, was very personable and a true professional. The room was comfy and cozy, clean and elegant. The breakfast was nothing short of incredible. I would recommend this bed-and-breakfast to all.

We planned our trip barely a week in advance. I didn't want to stay in just a hotel and I was lucky enough to find the 1848 Island Manor House. The reviews is what really drew me in. The house is amazing, it is quaint, beautiful decor and lots of space to relax. We barely noticed any other guests even at full capacity. The staff is amazing; it felt like we were staying with a family member who helped us find things to do during our stay. Our room was very spacious and everything was very clean. I loved that the house provided beach gear and bikes so that we didn't have to rent anything. The breakfasts were delicious! Something different every morning :) Located right on main street, it was an easy walk to shopping and restaurants.

Sam and Lynn's hospitality was phenomenal. At first me and my boyfriend did not know what to expect as this was our first time at a bed and breakfast. Sam was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us directions to the best spots in town. He's a funny guy. We will being here again when we come back to chincoteague island!

Wonderful place. House built in 1848 is nicely decorated to the historical period. Beautiful garden with waterfall brid bath. Staff has great knowledge of Chincoteague and Assateague Islands.

Stayed at many B&B's over the years and this one is given a 'needs improvement' rating from us. Overall, not the value for the money that I expected. The Good: Comfy bed Nice garden sitting area. The Not so Good: Room was smaller than pictures suggest. No bathtub. Bathroom towels need to be upgraded to quality towels. Towels provided were mismatched, very worn, stiff/scratchy and of poor quality. Bathroom sundries ie. soaps, lotions and shampoo although not used, were also of less quality as compared to what other B&B provides. Breakfast was disappointing to be honest. Although the dining area was very pretty, the breakfast offered was blueberry compote/blintzes, whipped cream and lemon tarts...all which are very high in sugar more suited for deserts rather than breakfast. Would have liked to have been given a healthier choice ie..eggs, bran muffin, oatmeal etc Guest snack area included coffee, teas, cookies but please offer to-go cups like other B&B's do, so your guests can take their coffee out with them. Again, small touches like this were lacking and could go a long way.
